Official Fallout 4 Thread

Game retailers should be kuk smart and offer to copy the steam backup of FO4 to flash drives to customers.

$46 from CDkeys.com, worked fine for me.

Pre-ordered from takealot. Received an email notification thay its ready for collection.
I have no been sitting here for 35min waiting for someone to explain to me who is going to reimburse my money spent on fuel.

As I was typing this, someone from management said they will ship it to me first thing tomorrow morning.

I am extremely annoyed with the service at Takealot.

First im told that my order has been delayed until the 16th, then im told its ready for collection, now Im told they can not release it due to a problem at ????Ster-Kinekor????.

Time for me to now go sit In 5pm traffic all the way to Bellville from Montegue Gardens

Same thing happened to me. I lost my **** in takealot today. Also asked for petrol money. The chick told me i was the 14th person they had to send away because they sent out the email too soon

I want this so bad but joh, almost R900 for PC on Steam.

I can't afford that.

No one buys new games on Steam in this country man. Don't even look there. CNA had a special a while ago with Fallout 4 on PC for R400. Most PC gamers I know preordered it from them.

I don't know why you waited until the day before to buy the game. Pretty much all retailers will have sold out their initial consignment of stock. I see CNA and Takealot don't even list Fallout 4 for sale atm. This is the case with all major releases.

Steam is very close to switching South Africans onto Rands. The prices might adjust downwards and we can finally buy our new games on Steam, or things will get even worse. Most of us are of the opinion that providing our local currency makes no sense for Valve unless the prices are adjusting downwards like on EA's Origin store.

Apparently I was the 7th. The manager told me that I will be on the first delivery run and that I can expect it around 9am to compensate for my time and money wasted, which I now realized was a lie because I received an sms from Mr.Delivery saying that I can expect the order to arrive at 3pm.

Takealot is receiving more stock on the 12th because they underestimated how many pre-orders there would be. Some people who pre-ordered from Takealot will only receive the game on the 16th.

That's how it usually goes down. And it's always people who preordered quite close to the release date that get the second consignment.

There was lots of drama when GTA V first released. I don't think any game has been as in demand as that. I couldn't believe how many people preordered a few days before or even one day before release. My GTA V preorder was placed over 6 months before release, as was my Fallout 4 preorder.

No no no, not neces... I also get those SMS's - I guess it's just a "approximate" because in the last 4 deliveries from Mr D - they've all arrived before 11am.
