Official Fallout 4 Thread

Got mine in my grubby little paws now.
Was late to the pre-order party on this one, so I bought it from CNA last Friday, also got the crappy Blu-Ray disc with it.

Just a shame I have to work late tonight, then there is the the 2 little ones I have to keep busy and get in bed, so I will most likely only get to play it laaaate tonight.

Still excited though.
 
I dont know why they didnt use a dual layer disk to keep the download size lower, cutting costs?

The whole game is not on the disc. After inserting the disc, it will automatically download the whole game (around 20gb) from Steam.
 
Log off steam, insert the disk end run the setup.exe.

It will ask you log you into steam then you enter the code.

It will install 5.4GB then the rest will download.


If you run the disk without logging off steam it will download the whole game...no disk install.

I had Steam open with the code already redeemed when I ran the setup. Installed the disc files no prob and then downloaded after that.

I wish, I don't have all that many gamer friends.
Now that I think about it, since I quit drinking, I don't have much friends in any case.

Unfortunately I will have to show some patience on this one.

I appreciate it, but I will wait it out, just got extra work that needs to be done this evening, so regardless, no game time for me tonight.
 
So does anyone have a pc copy that is completely downloaded in steam that I can come copy from :D In Cape Town close to Bellville

Damn internet is so slow, only on 3.6gb downloaded since 11:30am
 
My one single complaint thus far is the fast travel times feel like they take forever, I can start the game, load my previous save and be in the world playing in less time than fast travel takes most of the time.

But it will be linked to your steam account, you need his steam log in details and his code, unless he already activated it on his account.

I'm open to helping in anyway.
Even if he wants me to login to his account, download it and then send him the disks.
I'm legit.
No reason to not be.
