Official Fallout 4 Thread

Reading alot of negative stuff about fallout 4. Looks like its the usually overly hyped bethesda game that needs mods to improve.

None of the Bethesda games needed mods to improve them, that's bs.
I played Skyrim, Fallout, etc. vanilla before even considering mods.

That's true in a sense, i'm just reading the steam reviews which are usually quite helpful.

People saying negative things about are *******s. It is great.

If the gunplay feels solid, i'll love it regardless. Lackluster gunplay makes me hate a game. From what i've read it's got really good gunplay.

The thing is this is what people do, they bitch and moan about everything.
You need to take most game reviews as half-truth imo.

Regarding gunplay, apparently it's really good.
The guy from Destiny helped with that.

Most of the negative comments seem to be along the lines of :
"It's more of the same."
"It has weird glitches."
"The mechanics play together funny (Sneaking around in massive day-glo power armour.)"

lots of feedback that this game (based on PC version) is complete garbage.

just look at the feedback where bethesda cannot control or "moderate", like user reviews on Steam and Metacritic.

4.7/10 average User Score on Metacritic, doesn't say much for this game.

Jesus, im such a fanboy off fallout, i really hope its not as bad as they say.

The glitches I can understand, but this is the Fallout universe so expect some things to be the same and the stats system is basically dice being thrown taking the character, wearables and environment specs into the mix which is a game mechanic. It must be the younglings which has never played Fallout 1/2.

That's what I'm thinking but when I read the negative reviews I'm quite concerned.

Well, my download should be done by the time I get home.
Crappy reviews won't put me off, doesn't take much to make me a happy gamer.
Even if the game is exactly like New Vegas, then I will be happiness.

I can hardly find a single negative review by an online gaming website. They all giving this game 9/10 but the users are singing a different tune (PC users)

I've never played Fallout before this, so I don't care about anything the negative people have to say, the gunplay feels good and I don't care that the graphics aren't up to scratch with Crysis, my game hasn't crashed once and the enemies haven't glitched on my after 10 hours of gameplay.

10 hours or less seems to be the norm with games today to finish the campaign, 10 hours in and I don't think I'm even close to 5% done with the game, endless things to see and side quests to do.

The game is basically Skyrim set in the future with blunt objects, guns and mutated beings instead of swords, bows and mythical beasts, and I'm A-OK with that. If people are so shallow to give a game a 1/10 because the graphics they can go buy the latest COD (that's not more of the same) and enjoy the 6 hour campaign.

It's not graphics related comments though.
