Official Google Nexus 7 Thread

I will do, but the reason why I have never sold the 8 gig is that the screen only half-works. I have just ordered a replacement screen from Ebay but that will arrive in a month's time, and I won't be selling the 32GB 3G until I finally get the 2013 LTE through customs, which knowing them will be between now and Christmas.
So the long and the short of all this is, yes, I will be selling two nice 2012 Nexus (Nesusii?). Next month.
 
looking for the LTE 2013 model not sure where to buy it beside orange and looks quite pricey there however has anyone ordered from amazon? even a refurbish one would do for me?

I ordered from Amazon, they send it via DHL, the price you pay is inclusive of duties etc. I'm not sure if they still ship to SA.

I managed to get myself a battered 2013 3G (as I am rarely in LTE turf) for $125 - about R1400, but it took weeks of carefully checking out newly listed Nexus 7's on Ebay. I have yet to receive it, but I am covered by the Ebay buyer protection plan. :)

I picked up my N7 2012 edition today, very happy with it so far, but now comes the question of which cover to get?

I am looking around but I have no idea which ones are the best value for money. I would like a flip cover that has one of those little kickstands built in, and a screen protector would also be of use :)

Any recommendations?

Check bidorbuy or if you're willing to wait get something from dx.com
 
Ebay, definitely Ebay. Search for Nexus 7 Folio covers and make sure you tick "Free Shipping" - that way you aren't caught by people charging an exorbitant postage fee that you don't see until almost too late.
Also, have a look at the Ebay auctions. If you bid on something in our early morning you are liable to win it as the american bidders are all asleep. I have managed to get a lovely red Nexus 7 cover that way. It cost me R25 and shipping was free. The usual cost is R96.

Hello and welcome to the club. We only get together every blue moon (unless there is a Nexus 7 disaster and then we are all talking madly) :)
BTW, with this post office strike? I have been waiting months and months for items to come from Ebay.
Love buyer protection. Don't come on time? Moan at Chinese supplier and they send it again.
Probably being stolen in Jo'Burg, but at least your chances of getting one of two parcels through go up.

Haha thanks. Well, mine didn't come through the post. My father in law just gave me his. :D

BTW, what's a good source for wallpapers? I get them, the resolution is correct but it just looks like it's a small picture blown up.

I have a 2013 with a broken screen coming from the USA. Was dispatched to RSA on 25th September, so says USPS.
The replacement screen arrived from China ages ago. The 2013? God alone knows where that is. Jo'burg somewhere.
I asked the Post Office to help. They acknowledged my email. Nothing since. Grrrr...
Luckily it is only a 2013 16GB WiFi. My 2013 LTE is safely in my drawer here next to me.

Zedge? Some nice ones there, but I am not sure if it is for tablets.
