I am on stable CM 10.2. I want to give KitKat a go. Already downloaded KitKat. I don't want to lose root. Any tips? I know I must do a factory reset.

Just install this after you load the KitKat ROM- that's what I did.

It doesn't work when the screen is off.

I also have the KitKat launcher. For me it doesn't work when the screen is on, or even when I am at the Google Now page. Not sure what I'm missing here.

Not much really, except the KitKat look and smoothness on another level. I love it just for the polished feel of the OS.

You will lose some functionality coming from CM, as well. My tablet is new so I'm not really missing out on much.

That's you. I don't like it at all. I really preferred the blue eyecandy to the white. I hate the loss of the up and down arrows on the wifi icon in the notification panel, and I feel exceptionally strongly against the removal of access to battery and wakelock stats.

Google is trying to hide shoddy coding...

You need to have the offline speech recognition files installed. See here.

I have 16gb on the iPad and I'm fine with it. Shouldn't be a problem.

I wasn't sure I would make it with such a low amount. I'm happy with my 32gb but I also have a couple flash drives and a OTG cable.
