I reckon the new Samsung 8" maybe something worth waiting for. I'm beginning to think I prefer using my Note 1 to the Nexus 7
That's the route I'm going, waiting for the Samsung Note 8". It will be pricier but I think with the Nexus 7 I'll always be annoyed by the couple of things it can't do.
Hello N7 owners.
I am in the market for a tablet. So this basically means the iPad the N7 or N10 (I have a family member coming down from the USA in a month who can procure one for me)
I would like to know if you guys really enjoy your device and what sort of use cases have made the device great for you? sorry if this question sounds a bit like a survey but I would like to know what kind of tablet I should be getting. Probably for content consumption, morning forum lurking, youtubing and redditing.
I dont feel like getting an iPad since I have a few paid-for apps on my gmail alreaddy so I guess im stuck on this platform. I have a Nexus 4 so perhaps a N7 or N10 would be a great little addition to my arsenal.
One of the biggest things i found missing recently on nexus 7: no hdmi out. No adapter for it, nada. So my samsung S3 phone can happily play stuff on my tv (with adapter) while my nexus, which got an awesome gpu chip, can't.
A secondary minor issue is not having a rear camera. Not for photos, but for various apps (barcode scanning, star watching, distance/augmented reality apps) that use the camera.

Was Nexus 10 dude...
do you have the 3g version?Play Store says that Whatsapp is not compatible with the N7, so I just downloaded it from here directly and it works like a treat.
What's all that about?

Yeah sorry, 3G. And working deliciously so why the lack of tab support?
Wait, you didn't have to do any hacking to get it working? How did you authenticate your account?
i used to have a huawei s7 slim tab that could make calls and send sms out the box...I have seen the Nexus 7 3G receive SMS messages before, which might be why it worked. Do all 3G Android tablets have the capability to receive SMS messages?
