Looks like there is even more delays, mostly due to demand..

And this aint good news either, ifixit gave the HTC One a 1/10 for repairability..

I don't know how that will translate for repair costs if the phone gets busted up.
I want this phone bad, but the wait is getting too long. Looks like if it reaches SA the S4 will be out already lol
Both the 32GB and 64GB models, which will be $200 and $300 respectively, will hit retail store shelves on April 19th.
Email from Vodacom to me:
"Dear Stefan
I have confirmed with our Procurement division that the HTC One will be available from mid April 2013. There is currently no option available to pre-order the device, however you may visit your local Vodacom shop to enquire closer to the time. "
Brian Klug from AnandTech has a very detailed review:
First time a smartphone has ever been awarded a Gold Editors' Choice!![]()
Thanks for this. I'm gonna sit with a coffee and go through it slowly. I'm really at a loss on his comments regarding the camera.
He said that it's the best camera, especially for low light, but in a test I read online the s4 was giving better photos in low light using their low light scene mode.
So I sit confused
Is it now a 12 megapixel camera?![]()
HTC released a firmware patch that fixes the ultrapixel camera issues (in regard with automatic ISO), this patch were not previously applied in other reviews which had preview models. According to HTC this issue is resolved with all phones being commercially available.

GSMArena had an article on the solution and were pretty much satisfied with the "fixed" results, but did not do another comparison.
Where did you read that its a 12 megapixel?? Would be epic if its true...
I thought the software patch changed it from a 4 mp to a 12 mp camera?![]()
I just looked at the pics, and for a moment thought: "wow what phone is this D300s"I had to LOL when I clicked on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 button on the samples

Winner: Samsung Galaxy S4. Surprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has the better low-light camera performance. You'll have to snap several photos to make sure you have a good one, but the end result will be better than what the HTC One produces. The Galaxy S4 has a slight advantage in low-light video too.
The HTC One is more reliable - thanks to its OIS you can snap just one photo and know it will be about as good as it gets. But the camera's performance is simply nothing to write home about, and there are cases when OIS just isn't helping at all (when shooting moving subjects).
