Where did I say impossible? But saying it was impossible at the time was untrue.
Where did I say impossible?
To be fair they have Maxwell&Faulkner who've been going crazy long before our new-found AB (WI basher).
What were you saying then?
If you followed that link you'd have seen that AB's only 200+ SR ODI inings have come this year, and against the WI only (edit ok and IRE tooI don't get it? That proves you wrong.
Shapoor Zadran to Smith, OUT, Smith won't have a hundred. Shapoor has bowled well, has gone for a lot still, but this is good reward. Again the cross seam means it doesn't quite come on, and he is early into the drive. Straight to mid-off. Taken
SPD Smith c Najibullah Zadran b Shapoor Zadran 95 (98b 8x4 1x6) SR: 96.93
Just thought I should remind everyone who our ODI #3 isSmith goes!
Afghans were loving his strike rate. And missing out the hundred will peeve him.
Now he's my big show? How sad, your big show couldn't even get the fastest 50 against the UAE...
No team wants to face himDan: "If Afghanistan want most of the major cricketing nations to celebrate their achievements at this World Cup they could do worse than to entice Faulkner to re-injure himself. The man scares me, I don't want us to have to play him later in the tournament."
A useless stat without considering the volume of runs. More than half of AB's innings have come at a strike rate of 100+, along with the volume of runs. That is what makes the difference in the end. 4(2) is a strike rate of 200, but it's completely useless in the scheme of an innings. If you followed that link you'd have seen that AB's only 200+ SR ODI inings have come this year, and against the WI only (edit ok and IRE too)
GMax&Faulkner have been doing that for a long time now.

That's what you called him earlier. What I don't understand is for someone who harbors such a dislike for white people, why you have such a hard-on for the Aussies. Don't see you crying for them to give the Aborigines a chance...Now he's my big show?

Glenn Maxwell - 3 innings with a strike rate over 200 - not a single 100 between the 3.

James Faulkner - 2 innings with a strike rate of over 200, and not a single 100.
Besides, AB often comes in early and needs to keep the innings together sometimes. Faulkner and Maxwell rarely needs to do that.
You can twist statistics either way you want. 200 isn't the required strike rate for greatness - there's no such thing, really. If you look at that list of AB's batting with a strike rate of over 120, which is pretty great for a no. 4 batsman, you'll find 10 centuries and 9 fifties.
One of the best if you ask me.
If you ask me nicely I'll PM you links of my posts & blogs about that. That's what you called him earlier. What I don't understand is for someone who harbors such a dislike for white people, why you have such a hard-on for the Aussies. Don't see you crying for them to give the Aborigines a chance...
