Harsh! 6 batsmen at least. Have you noticed how WI have top order bats (Carter, Smith, Deonarine), who are weaker bats than the bowlers (Sammy, Russell, Taylor etc)?

I wonder why they didn't pick Pollar&Dwayne purely as batsmen. They'd have been ok opening and at first drop.

The West Indies have by far the most options team-wise by the number of all-rounders at their disposal.

This is sad. Puts a big damper on things. Should never get to that level.

When people regularly celebrate such small things using gunfire resulting in casualties/serious injuries it says a lot about the society there. I always tell a few boys in Soweto and JHB South not to mess with the guys from war torn African regions (Angola, Ethiopia Somalia, DRC etc) plus Asian countries (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc). They mustn't be fooled. These guys can handle a gun ... well most of them won't literally shoot themselves in the foot. :D

With most foreign troops withdrawing at the end of last year, Afghanistan's war against Taliban and allied insurgents is dragging on. Earlier Thursday, a car bomb killed one person.

Not the Yanks. They won't move a muscle. Still need to keep the opium conveyor belt going.

Corrected - yeah, I think I read it elsewhere then got that article - the other article said shot... I just assumed dead... been spending too much time there I think.
Yeah, totally daft... guns are a way of life there.

They reviewed a 'feather' of a touch (in their opinion), but there was no hotspot nor snicko in review, so it was inconclusive, meaning they used up a review with no evidence. Jayawardene in particular went ballistic at umpire, then while still presumably furious, took a stunning catch at slip off the very next ball.
Martin Crowe reinstated the review shortly after,
 
The injuries to Philander and Duminy exposes the Proteas lack of depth and lack of allrounders in particular. As a comparison, the Aussies havent even missed Faulkner and Clarke, and they still have Cummins as a pace bowler can slog well in bib bash.
