Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

Got him !!...am I allowed to be a fan of Tahir? he looks a bit 'tanned' to me.

By far the best bowler today even before this wicket.

have we ever lost our heads in CWC? :D iesh, hoping its just a bloody good pitch...btw 90...oops Tahir takes one..
Haha. Let's not go there.

# needs to get a biggy here. His calmness is going to be key in this chase. I will include JP as well.

CWC, I love my team, but will only get excited when we take the last wicket/make the winning run , in the final....we have this ability to snatch defeat from the mouth of victory....:D

someone started the usual under privileged crap a few postings back....

None of that , irrespective of his origins - Parnell is still an undisciplined bowler (with an average of 80.5 against India) and exception was taken to that.

We don't look like contenders tbh. Hopefully we improve incrementally throughout the pool stages and peak by the knock out stages.

Edit: this is a 300+ wicket btw. SA will be happy with anything under 320...

Look, the dude may have potential...but hell, how long we going to continue with him, he has a good day...every once in while...

Stop friggin misrepresenting to make a point, you clown. I did no such thing, I did not take exception to the fact that you said Parnell is undisciplined, I agree with that.
I asked you when he should be coming on, especially given the doubt about Philander...after the 30th over at 150/2 perhaps...and bowl him at the death? Answer the question instead of misrepresenting me and palying the race card at the same time.

He should not be in the side , therefore he won't be required to come on - that's what we're saying.

If he requires special circumstances to play then I guess he most definitely doesn't deserve to be in the side.

Curve ball... if Parnell plays, why not let him open the bowling? He is quicker than Steyn and Philander and gives the left arm variation. And before you reply, think about how many wickets Steyn, Philander and Morkel have taken today...

This.

We need to change things up and not bowl in our same old pattern. Use bowlers to their advantages.

Morkel (admittedly, he has a great run up to the cup run) and that F____Up Du PLessis is others whom I really dislike in this side.

As from previous post during the Zim game, seems like these okes (in the current team/setup) are all on a cruise - it's almost as if they believe their rep will carry them through.

I hope for their sake, it's a conscious mental/strategic descision (by the team and management) to go in all relaxed (where they do just enough) and not hyped as with previous competitions where they went blazing from the get go and failed when push came to shove.

I would back this experiment. What we are doing now clearly isn't working. Maybe try it against some of the more rubbish teams in the group stages.

Commentary team were talking about it being a bit of a slow wicket so I am not too comfortable about chasing down 320+

What's the thing with SA management teams, intentionally trying to hamstring your team and increase the difficulty of winning a contest.
