QDK is in the team as a wicket keeper. And he ain't going nowhere. So give it up. JP and Philander come in for Berhardien and Abbott. Nuff said.

Abbott is another who is forcing their way into the team..
 
So we need to get Ireland out for 153 to hold the record for largest margin of victory in a world cup ODI, 120 for the largest ever margin of victory... Not a good day to be Irish.

Yeah, there's an interesting dynamic at play in this SA squad right now!

We gone with batting heavy selections in the last 2 games and it's paying huge dividends with 2 400+ totals! The scoreboard pressure has been as much the undoing of the opposition as has our bowling attack.

Could SA compete against a SL or an Australia with this lineup? Is there enough in the bowling department to bowl Australia out for under 300-320?

And herein lies the issue. Too many matches being decided by tosses. Not anyone's fault per se, just the way it has worked out. If we lose the toss, we're already on the back foot before we've set foot on the field.

This ^ and agree that the bigger playing nations should be held responsible to spread and develop the game.

I fear though that the money of the BCCI and India will hoard and stifle this.

If we bat first then we have to go big and scoreboard pressure should assist our bowlers.

If we bat second then we have to chase down whatever they set.

India's bowlers are inferior to ours and they seem to get by fine. In limited overs good batsmen are more important because you don't need to take 20 wickets to win a game...

I can understand the other nations but how're you going to develop cricket in that dump called Afghanistan? None of the teams want to play there!

Would be the 5th bowler (who ever that) is provide more to the team performance then the extra batter does?? I don't think so. I rather stick with my specialist 7 batters and back jp,faf,ab and rillee to manage 10 overs between them.

I think the problem with the current line-up is the importance of the toss. We have the same problem Ireland has now. Unless we set the score we end up being our worse enemies. We don't seem to have the killer instinct in finishing off the opposition in our bowling attack. We need to put them under pressure in chasing a big score to break through.

I don't think you're getting it.

Playing cricket in Dubai doesn't develop cricket in Afghanistan.

One alternative is for the broadcasters and by extension the ICC to broadcast more of these Division B games on TV. At least create awareness, because I'm not sure people even know about these teams apart from when they see them at the CWC every four years.
