Is it really so strange looking back at how we struggled against Zim and went down against Pakistan?

I was mortified when I read that the Proteas see the World Cup as just another tour. No wonder they aren't playing anywhere near their potential while other teams have taken the World Cup seriously and really lifted their game.

Probably cost the WI's too although, tbh, they don't deserve to progress...

First we need to get to the playoffs! SA has a decent net run rate thanks to those 400+ totals, so yes, with 3 teams now on 6 points, it DOES COUNT!!

You do know QdK will dominate the domestic batting charts if that happens right? Bear in mind he bats lower for the Lions now 3-5.

I believe RR doesn't deserve to be in the XI. That middle order spot should've gone to QdK long time ago. Having said that selectors let him down from the beginning, and guys here believed that since QdK eventually did well as an opener, it was right to keep him there. They forget we played weakened attacks most of the time when he did well so he was a 50/100 or nothing player. At this level in this kind of fierce competition, he was more than likely to be a nothing player.

UAE presents a chance and I think he'll be given that game. I have a funny feleing Faf has been asked to open and refused to do so. He's tired of being messed around too. He's happy at three. Surely RR doesn't want to be shunted back up. It means Farhaan will stay out and the only change-decision will be down to Philander.
 
Why are you guys going on about NRR? We're through if we win next week. It's the UAE, and if we lose to them then we don't deserve to go through...
