It could be Cell C holding back the update for some reason. If you connect your phone to PC via LG PC Suite, and click to check for updates, it does show there is a "D" version available, but the update stalls... Nothing through OTA though...

I'm on D802f-SEA-XX anyway. Had to reset my phone after a botched DPI change.

I upgraded mine via the LG PC update software to the D version. It failed the fist time, but after restarting the phone, I used the 'Recover Update' menu item to successfully complete the update.

Correct. And it downloaded twice! Once, and then it failed and then again when I selected the recover option. Why would an update program have a 'Recover Update' option? Makes you wonder about the QA...

That sounds correct. It is about 2GB. Will take a while to download...

Can it only download while the phone is connected to the PC...? on my slow connection at work, it'll take 2 days.... This program now saying 14hours till finished....

It might not be worth the upgrade from 4.2.2 b to 4.2.2 d. If rumours are to be believed, 4.4 update will come out soon. Maybe hold out for that so you wont need to go through the download pain again?

Good to know.

Will wait for KK end of March.

Still have not found a good enough reason to root this phone though...with my SII I rooted in the first few hours.

If only there was a NeatRom for G2 like S2 :(

I'll give you a reason. G2 Xposed. Customise your G2 like never before. Includes features such as transparent / immersive status and notification bar, customise your navigation bar, remove a lot of pointless notifications etc. I rooted for this alone, and added some Xposed addons afterward.

Duly noted!

Splash screen hangs then if you alt tab you can see an error dialog behind the splash screen mentioning" cannot initialize filters: -1". Tried running it in various compatibility modes and as admin, no luck
