Official LG G2

Also after reading a bit on xda, has anybody tried flashing the official kitkat that is out in Europe?
 
I have seen it but am not sure which I should get for SA? The closest is the Malaysian firmware which has the same version number as our current one i.e D80210d

Have you inserted your imei number? After the esn number you need ti replace the text with you IMEI number.

I don't get a chance to even see that part. I click the link and this is what I see "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." and below that is one line of code, the rest of the page is white.

You need to insert you imei number.

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=111111111111 The numbers 111111111 you need to replace with your imei number. Understand?

On a separate note have you tried flashing the official v4.4.2?

Nope, I have not. Seen to many issues being reported on xda, Also LG SA said there are issues with KK, so will wait a bit.
 
thanks a lot isimobile, finally got it to work :) im considering the upgrade but will see, from what i read on xda i think lte is the main problem the people were having where they couldn't pick it up.
 
My G2 felt out of my pocket, I never put it in my pocket, the screen shattered and its unusable, Got a quote from Vodacom... R2783:cry:
It only has the cover with the small window, and it fell on the only corner that is not covered.

I'm so sorry to hear... That's the thing with all these smart phones, once the screen breaks, it's tickets... I hope you can get it sorted soon...

They are busy with the repair, so I might get it this week still,
Thinking of getting the slim armor cover... Anyone still happy with theirs?
I'm open to suggestions
 
That's sad to hear man, I gave up on the window case because it didn't fit mine properly. I got a bodyglove case. It keeps the phone slim, feels good in hand, but maybe not strong enough to your new requirements.
