Official LG G2

um.. im runnng dual screen but that was on my main screen, and that is 1600*900

hope that helps

It does thank you!

Will try and run it on my lappy with same res.

When I ran that prog on 1080p it looks messed up...can still use it, but the layout is not correct.

Thank you :D

Be warned: I installed AutoRec and bricked my device. Downloading the KDZ file now - hoping I can redo the phone soon enough.

Does anyone know where I can read what changes we actually have? Seems a bit more snappy but I'm wondering if there are and specific benefits? Features?

Cheers

Can anyone speak to the battery life issues reported elsewhere (on 4.4.2)? I'm guessing it's mostly settings changes.

I'm busy downloading the OTA update through Vodacom now, can anyone confirm if the update is for 4.4 or for 4.4.2?

I had the update showing on my phone but it refuses to install because my phone is rooted.

I want to unroot it, how did you do it? I saw a video on YouTube but it doesn't give you the South African version. Which version did you use? Europe?

Works well. I'm really happy with the update.

Overall it's a good update. Feels slightly smoother and I love knock code

Be careful now, don't go and install a custom recovery - you'll end up like me. :| There is a change in the source that closes the "Loki" bits that enable custom recovery (or something like that). The current CWM and TWRP versions don't work with 4.4.2 on the G2 as a result. I made that mistake, and am now the proud owner of a G2 running CyanogenMod. It was the only way I could get back up and running. :/

So the official specs of the G3 has been leaked.... It's like a Galaxy Note and G2 had a one night stand and the baby is on the way... Darn I can't wait...

Is there anything that does not work with the CyanogenMod? Knock On, Wi-Fi etc?

Is it better than running LG's stock ROM?

My CM is running without issue, had 2 crashes that I recall only, obviously it's the Trebuchet launcher so there's no knock off, but i have a quickswipe shortcut so put it to sleep, other than that everything's working well for me, using the new Google Camera app and it's producting pretty good results.

On another note, almost 2GB for the official update via Software Tool?! CM is 211MB!

Downloaded and installed the OTA update. It is 4.4.2. Seems slightly smoother.

Copying something to clip tray also does not seem to prohibit you from immediately doing something else for that 1 second.

What is knock code?

Knock code is a way of securing/unlocking your phone, similar to a pattern or password.

Effectively the phone screen is divided into four quadrants and you have to tap these quadrants in a specific sequence to unlock your phone.

To activate knock code go to settings>display>lock screen

Just an update, cm has knock code, just double tap the status bar then it will turn off.

You need to activate the code. Under "display & lights" under settings is the wake option, double tap to wake and under Interface -> status bar -> is douple tab to sleep setting to make it sleep.

Camera under cm is slow compared to lg stock. Takes longer to take a photo under cm.
