Hi everyone.

While I know this has probly already been discussed in this thread, can someone please give me a good guide/ link me a good guide for flashing Cyanogenmod on the D802? I have been out of the flashing/ ROMming scene for quite some time... Also, are there any features you miss from the stock LG ROM? Thanks in advance.

It's relatively simple.
Just copy the downloaded ROM and GAPPS to your phone and flash both.

I definitely miss the knock off portion (You can double tap the status bar to sleep, but being able to double tap anywhere on the screen is easier)

Thanks for the reply! One thing though - did you use the Loki tool to gain access to the boot loader, or will rooting (via ioroot) alone be enough to perform the flash of the recovery and ROM? Also, CWM, or TWRP as recovery? I've used CWM in the past, but not TWRP.

I've only ever done ioRoot...
Never used Loki afaik...

I'd like to bring the following ROM to your attention:

BlissPop - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-blisspop-team-blissmust-12b-t2985536
GAPPS - http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps (Link from the XDA page above)

I've had some issues with CM 12 (bootloop when rebooting, battery issues etc, not to mention that there are definitely better ROMS out there)

Seems very, very stable and quick from trawling through the above forum. (I can attest to the ROM speed... Absolutely blazing)

Also, a security feature is the pin layout to access your phone changes every single time you reboot - the numbers appear in different place on the grid.

Give it a go and see what you think.

Big plus is that you can set your home button to turn the screen off when you double tap it! :D (I like that feature, easier than going up to the status bar.)

I stumbled across this article this morning - http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/htc-blinkfeed-plugins-devices-08-03-2015-t3049438

I'm quite interested in Blinkfeed as a concept, but have never had one of the new HTC M.. phones.

I went and installed it and it's seriously very awesome if you are someone who likes keeping up to date with news and sports etc.

Easy enough to install, although the weather, Facebook and Twitter apps don't seem to work.

Just download the HtcBlinkFeed, HtcServicePack and WorldClock and everything is good to go.

Just do it. And thank me later :D

Cool!

Anything special I should take into account? I tried to flash a zip from TWRP (after wiping data and cache, of course), and it was just stuck for over an hour, on the 'flashing the zip' screen (or whatever it called itself, I have forgotten).

There wasn't space to leave a Nandroid backup, so now need to flash back to stock using the LG Flash tool .

But am determined to get to a more stock Android feeling! I want the speed.
