Wonderful. Downloading the update :D.

PS: No indication as to when the OTA will be available?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Just also check that the Xposed module you want to use is compatible with Lollipop, not all the modules from KitKat work with Lollipop.

Picked up a G2 for R1,200 this AM to replace my S3 in the car and for cycling. Still on 4.4.2. Is 5 available yet for the G2? After the battery saving (as experienced on my G3 - insane improvement).

Anyone know what I can take my G2 for a screen repair in the Edenvale area?

I tried at the cell shop at Karaglen Centre. They said they would order one and let me know when I can go in (R1,200). That was on Sunday. My patience is all gone now.

Have you asked the guys at Meadowdale Mall? No promises, but worth a shot.

Found a place in Kempton (about 11 km away) called Smartfix Cellular. Dropped it off this AM, picked up at 15H30 when I fetched my boy from school. R1,200 with OEM LCD. Sorted.

Bummer is when I went for my ride just now, the double tap to wake up the phone did not work through the plastic covering of my crossbar mount. Sigh... Seems the G2 is confined to only being used in the car. And I already sold my S3 which was my dedicated bike and car cell.

Going to hunt around for a G2 bike mount.

Been testing everything on the Spanish lollipop release today, seems to be working perfectly. Very much like the G3 software just missing stuff like 4K video and slow motion video.

So far it feels snappier than Cloudy G3 (based off the stock G3 firmware). Will test battery from tomorrow.

Does it have an english option?

Where did you get the apns? thanks for the replys, im going to flash it now. Dont feel like waiting any longer for lollipop :)

Your service providers website or using the SIM tools on your phone or using the USSD menu.

For example for Cell C it's *147# then menu item 8.

So how is the battery life on the Spanish ROM??

Very good to excellent. I definitely never have an issue getting through the day, normally end up with 60% before I go to bed. Have got around 6 hours SOT before, but not something I test too often.

Hi

Can I just confirm if this is the stock lollipop rom for the G2?

Thanks,

This guide is for stock ROMS only. It says this on the first post:

Here is the KDZ I used: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW005FK032VIAG53A330GZQ/D80230a_00.kdz

It's from the official lgmobile site if you're worried about using firmware from the XDA thread.
