Well, I took the plunge and did it - was all quite painless. All looks good so far :)

Good to hear. I also go there eventually although my ride wasn't as smooth. They key was a fresh copy of Windows on a VM. Seems like the older Windows VM I was running with multiple LG drivers/software versions installed caused problems during the flashing.

In case anyone is interested, I got installed the MTN update to Lollipop (5.0.2) this week.

It took forever (2 hours, including download time, install and reboot)!

After the first boot, battery was draining fast and the phone felt sluggish (seemingly a common experience). A few reboots have sorted out the battery, and the phone feels faster, but still noticeably slower than on Kit Kat.

Not worth the update, in my opinion, unless you go for a stock ROM.

Nope, gave me a message saying that it had to be plugged into a PC to do the update. Then I had to run around to find a machine with Windows on it :(

For some reason I can't sync my phone to the LG software suite.

Annoying.

Think I will root and go custom.

Not to sound like a stuck record but I really am stuck now. I managed to download a KK kdz file and am trying to get my phone back to stock. Sadly we have no internet out here in the sticks (typing this on my phone).. How do I make a zip out of this file or just flash this thing ? I really feel like those Yanks who shoot their tv sets now.

Hi guys, what's your take on Lollipop, read a lot of bad things & good things about it, cause I'm thinking of rooting it, but scared of all the conflicting opinions on the web.

And are you using CM12 on it or is stock fine, or recommend a custom.

Thanks.

I'm on Lollipop 5.0.2, German LG Firmware. No issues whatsoever. Mind you that I upgraded from KitKat via the PC Suite SW and then did a factory reset/wipe afterward as I found that some features were not available if you just run it upgraded non-wiped. Rooted as well.

Can someone please confirm what the "available space" is on the LG G2 out of the box (16GB version)?
I soft-bricked my device, but managed to recover, but now it seems my available pace is 10GB (I'm almost certain it was more, just want to confirm).
Also, my "total space" is also displayed as 10GB?
