God I hope he doesn't start Rooney, he needs a break, let him fully recover to 100%. I don't have high hopes for the Everton game, they retain the ball well, a lot of short passes with quick movement versus us having been spread out and playing long balls for most of the season.

I'd like to see a diamond set up instead of a flat one for once. Carrick sitting deeper, Valencia RM, perhaps Buttner LM, with Mata and Kagawa starting at the top of the diamond and Welbeck up front. I think against Everton with Coleman and Baines you want your flanks sitting a bit deeper and not leaving too much space behind them. Also with Valencia and Buttner we will have a hell of a lot of pace. So we could press them higher up the pitch which is the best way to counter tikki-takka style play, never let them turn and start moving forward. Only concern would be that Carrick might not have the legs to hold central midfield together.

Moyes being completely out thought here, pathetic really. Just playing possession football and not even threatening Everton is pointless.
 
Pity Fellaini is not on the pitch. Would love to hear the reaction to him from the Everton fans

We were trying to be romantic, valuing things like longevity and Scotishness. Unfortunately its not worked out.
 
Man U had only one shot on goal the whole first half and it wasn't on target. :wtf:
 
Takes 60 minutes for Moyes to realise that things need to be changed.
 
Rooney has been **** this game, as has Mata. Moyes tactics non-existant...poor showing all round

Everton have deserved this, very positive when they have had the ball
 
Please sack him now, 10th defeat out of last 22 games, utterly clueless today and lucky not to lose by more.
 
Defeat confirmed that mathematically ManU can't get into the Champions League.

We looked listless and shockingly this was not the first time I have watched us play like this this season. Terrible showing. I think it's too late to sack him now...who would honestly want to play in a team managed by him. Getting new quality signings will be tough with him at the helm
 
Moyes has been completely outdone tactically by Martinez. Letting us push up and hold possession then hitting us on the counter; we are stretched, it's too easy. We have been totally flat and spread. Players getting isolated in midfield and not a single option open, no diamonds, no triangles, no pass and move and through balls. We are so one dimensional at the moment it is a joke. I hope Moyes buys good players for his successor because this style of football is embarrassing and quite simply not going to work, this season or next. Rooney was crap today, should never have played. Started Kagawa on the left and like I said just left space behind him for Coleman to run into. Mata looked good in the middle, went to the right and disappeared, got shifted back to the middle and came alive again.

Our poor season has nothing to do with the squad, Ferguson said he thought he left it in good shape. Any squad that won the league by 11 points the season before is a good squad. We've added Mata, Januzaj has come out as a great prospect. I'm laying the blame squarely on Moyes shoulders. Martinez has revolutionized Evertons style of play and they look more dangerous now than at any time under Moyes. I don't think it is a coincidence that the two teams who have improved the most this season (Everton and Liverpool) both have managers who believe in a similar style of football, a modern style that has been proven to work for other teams. Moyes deserves credit for what he did at Everton but his style is more suited to not losing than to winning games. His techniques are from the stone age. Sport is a science now, if we really wanted to make a long term appointment we should have hired someone who understands that and who plays a brand of football according to that. Our injury crisis has nothing to do with bad luck, its bad training techniques and conditioning. I think the board and SAF have to admit they made a mistake and take steps to fix the problem before it is too late.

Don't worry I heard Kroos was a done deal.
