The Glazers were not really a good thing for United. But I guess that is the way football goes. We have just been unlucky that the people that bought us were allowed to without actually have actual money to do it.

This and that = financing their club through debt. If you insist on derailing another thread with nonsense, at least pay attention. Sheesh.

LOL. I am sorry but we won't spend days crying like little girls after defeat. We'll pick ourselves up and make sure we are there again next season :)

Bollocks. Next season is when the fates have decided that Chelsea and Liverpool shall meet in the Final. so that we can finally put and end to this European "mini-rivalry" we've had over the last 4 odd years. Then you can have the frikkin finals you pansies;):D

Every club has debt, Real madrid's debt is a joke compared to manu's almost 1billion pound debt.

I was reading an article about it and if manu stop winning trophys (couple of bad seasons) they could be in some serious financial issues as they wouild be unable to pay back the banks with the ever escalating interest on that debt.

Player Of The Season: Nemanja Vidic
While a dog of a game against Liverpool and a below-par showing in the Champions League final (although he was hardly alone there) shouldn't be ignored, neither should the other 48 games, in most of which he was a colossus. The run of 14 clean sheets earlier in the season gave many an opportunity to praise Edwin van der Sar, but it had much more to do with Vidic than the keeper, and it was telling that the Serb was missing when that run was broken against Blackburn.

Let Down Of The Season: Dimitar Berbatov
It's the easy answer, but last summer Alex Ferguson put all of his transfer eggs in one lackadaisical Bulgarian basket, and the man who gives new meaning to the word 'languid' hasn't exactly been value for money. While he hasn't been quite as bad as those who prefer the sometimes headless chicken style of Carlos Tevez claim, he has produced nothing like the form he did at Spurs. Nani was a strong contender for this one too, but he still has time to develop.

Breakthrough/Newbie Of The Season: Rafael da Silva
Brought in last summer as the future, Rafael became the present very rapidly indeed. Along with his twin Fabio, he'll be bombing up and down the flanks of Old Trafford for years to come, and luckily for him United currently have enough cover to allow him to be eased in.

They Could've Done With...: Owen Hargreaves. Only sometimes though
There's a reason Alex Ferguson thought Hargreaves was worth £18million, and it's because there are few better at his job. That job is spoiling, and boy could they have done with Hargreaves against Barcelona. Granted, he might not have been good enough to stop the genius of Xavi and Iniesta, but he would have done a better job than Anderson and Ryan Giggs.

Quite why people are hating on BBT I'll never know. Of all the games he played, I can only remember one or two where he was below par. Tevez has a lot more ineffective games than he did. And don't get me started on Anderson and Park. I guess they weren't disappointments cos no one expected them to do anything at all :o

This seems to be the same excuse year in/out about him.

Berbatov was a waste of 30 odd million, imagine the type of player that would buy on the transfer market.
 
So, who will actually go and who will come.

I rate Tevez is basically gone. Ronaldo will stay. We will buy one big star like Ribery or whoever...

For me, if Hargreaves can come back then we won't miss Anderson or Nani.

I'd keep Park and Tevez as bench players, and for the Cups...

New keeper to replace vd Sar or does he have another year in him? I tend to think, not so much...
 
Definitely new keeper. Foster and Kuczk@k aren't anywhere close to being a starting keeper. Also would be absolutely great if Hargreaves could come back. He could be a starter no problem.

Yip. Had he been fit this season it would have made the difference between 3 and 5 trophies I reckon...Or if Fergie had picked his best team in the FA Cup semis and CL final :o

Foster just got injured for the next 5 weeks or so... guess Kuzchek isn't going anywhere

This Foster is starting to become injury prone...

I agree the 4-3-3 was not a great idea, but neither was starting Anderson, Park and Giggs. I would have started Scholes, Berbatov and Tevez, given the nature of the game and the opposition.

Obviously Fletcher would have taken Anderson's place if he had not been suspended, which would have helped somewhat.

Anyway, for me, those two games were lost because of strange and risky strategies employed by Sir. I would have loved the FA CUp...
