De Gea

Valencia - Jones - Carrick - Evra

Nani - Park - Rafael - Welbeck

Berbatov - Hernandez

What type of a ****ing 11 is that? Rafael and Park in central midfield and Welbeck on the wing?

If Fergie doesn't buy in the summer transfer window it'll be clear that his age is starting to catch up with him and he's losing the plot.

I think there might be a few Man U and Chelsea supporters (maybe players as well) waking up with a bigger than planned babelas this morning.

What a shocking night.

Ye I saw the line up and thought... WTF is SAF playing at? Carrick and Jones in CB Rafael in CM???

What a chop

What a strange weekend indeed for the Manc teams.

But de Gea and Nani had a game to forget, Nani in particular was very wasteful.

If Spurs win their game in hand then they will only be 3 points behind the top 2.

City still have the upper hand in terms o depth and quality. they were just unlucky like liverpool where nothing wants to go in. must also say that Sunderland parked the bus in front of goal. negative play but very effective. if utd do win the epl, then its not them winning it, but more city giving it away.

Depth and quality alone does not warrant the titles.
The word unlucky can be used a lot when teams do not pick up maximum points.
It's all about the picture you'd like to paint.
Unlucky does not cause you to draw more than a third of you games, that's pretty damn consistent if you ask me. The word wasteful might then fit better.

A 38 game season does not lie, titles don't get given away. United had to grind out results with numerous injuries, if they happen to win the title you cannot say it was gifted.
Also City cannot give something away they never had. The premiership does not get won on a few results or halfway season performances, otherwise Liverpool might have had a few which I would have lived to see.

I get that you are just trying to rip into United though, because you hate them and are jealous. But try not to make it that obvious...

United have been very unlucky with injuries yes.

Think something like 10 first team players are injured at the moment. Imagine if Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal had that many injuries.

To be tied for first place with all our injuries is nothing short of amazing.

You meant he same Arsenal who have regularly, like clockwork even, had most of their first team out for a large part of the last 5 years?

Arsenal have injuries to key players (Van Persie, Vermaelen etc.) but I'm not sure if they've ever had 10 players injured at once.

Fabio, Vidic, Ferdinand, Smalling, Young, Cleverley, Fletcher.

Hernandez, Anderson and Rafael have all recently returned from injury. The game against Blackburn was Hernandez's second and Anderson and Rafael's first.

Fergie was dumb to ban Rooney and Evans.

You must be new here.

I am new yes. Feel like enlightening me with anything?

Gets to me though when people say United have all the luck and get things handed to them.
These type of injury concerns hit United often and they just carry on. At one point in the last two seasons we had 8 first team defenders and fielded 3 midfielders in defense. These injuries don't only affect the defense but the midfield as well, as that's what is sacrificed to plug the gaps. Stops the flow of the entire team.

Not making excuses though. It's all part of the game, just gets to me when people act like all the planets allign and some miraculous force hands the epl title to united.

Anyway I'll get used to the way things are done here and join in on the fun and banter.

Haha, hawker wasn't trying to be mean, he's just sayng that's StevieG's usual style of talking nonsense

I wasn't either, this is the answer I was looking for. Sorry if I came accross otherwise. I feel enlightened.
I'll have to get used to different users and posting styles.
