Some Good news on the injury front - very refereshingCleverley back to face Liverpool
Tom Cleverley is set to return to action for the first time since October in Saturday’s crunch Barclays Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The midfielder has been sidelined with an ankle injury since the 1-0 win at Everton on 29 October but is ready to make his comeback against Kenny Dalglish’s side.
Cleverley was due to play in the Reserves’ postponed clash with Chelsea at the start of the week and he was not selected for Thursday’s Manchester Senior Cup defeat to Man City, leading to speculation he would be involved in the first team this weekend.
Sir Alex said at his Friday press conference: "Tom's training well. We were disappointed the Chelsea Reserves game was called off on Monday. The plan was for him to stay over with us [after last Sunday's first-team game at Stamford Bridge] and play in the game on the Monday. That was called off. But he's trained very well and he'll be involved tomorrow."
Chris Smalling could also take his place in defence after missing the Chelsea draw with a knock, but Phil Jones will only be back for the Europa League trip to Ajax next week.
"There’s not much change on the injury front for us," Sir Alex added. "I think Smalling could be available, but all the rest is as it was last Sunday.
"Phil Jones got a knock against Manchester City, which he never quite recovered from. He'll be fit for next week. He'll be fit for the Ajax game."
Sir Alex is expecting another tough encounter with Liverpool and wants his side to cut out theconcentration lapses that allowed Chelsea to take a three-goal lead last weekend.
"I think our performance levels in the last few weeks have been good, but we're losing goals in important games and that's a bit of a concern," the boss said. Last week, Juan Mata's goal was a fantastic strike - we couldn't do a thing about that - but an own goal and a deflected goal... we should do better.
"We lost two soft goals against Liveprool in the FA Cup and that shouldn't be happening at our club.
"We expect a hard game tomorrow but I'm just looking for the sort of performance we've been showing recently. That should help us."

So you guys cant even win if we 10 men at OT?1-1 draw with Evra being send off tomorrow
So you guys cant even win if we 10 men at OT?
He meant he will get sent off in the 93rd minute which will result in a vicious United counter-attack that will end in an unfair penalty call which will be the reason for the draw and not a Liverpool win.
@ Smokey: I dont know if this guy knew you were griping at United....lolnice try

Fergie will have more 1st teamers at his disposal..however the Mancs are up against one of the most defensive teams in the EPL...

So until AVB sorts out Chelsea to be that team, carry on United.
Reckon he'll be given time to do so? Also, do you have faith that he can accomplish that? Hearing rumblings about Ambramovic buzzing around SB a bit too much recently.
I can't help but have faith. He is changing a heck of a lot and is being given a lot more power to change than previous managers. As for Roman being at the training ground recently... well, he's hands on when things aren't going well. I think it's a good sign seeing as he was nowhere near Cobham or Stamford Bridge when the screws were tightening on Carlo.
Can AVB do it, well I reckon we'll see by what he has done at the beginning of next season. that will be HIS squad, no one elses. More so than Carlo or any other manager before him during the post Mourinho years. If he messes up then, the axe WILL fall.
Any idea who might replace AVB if he were to be axed?
