I can't see us winning anything this season! I always knew that we
going to struggle without Ronaldo & Tevez. SAF should have brought in
1 or 2 good midfield players that could control the midfield. We have major problems this season. We will get hidings from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs. Spurs are playing well at the moment. They are one of the teams to look out for this season. I hope this was just a one night
*** game from us and step up our game next time.

I hope that Wigan plays their second team on Saturday. Maybe we'll have a chance to be beat them:):):)

The doom merchants are out again. I've noticed quite a bit on these forums. After one loss, they are out having a bit of a moan. When their team is winning, you don't see them again......and if you do see them again they're saying completely the opposite.

Get a grip lad, it is only two games into the season and compared to last season, Man U had only 2 points from 2 games, now they have 3 from 2. You could end up being right but your comments come after a loss and is all a bit kneejerk.

Hope you're right about them not winning it.

Haha, I was thinking the same. After 4 games last season we have won one, drawn two and lost one....:)

If Sir doesn't start playing our strongest team, now when there are no other distractions like Europe, then it's not going to go well.
No doubt we have a big squad but I think that Fergie tends to overkill the rotation system (just a thought). I mean why not have a stable MidField (so that they can gel into a dynamic pairing (whomever it may be). This is such an NB position on the pitch. Playing Giggs in the middle and Ando ON THE WING!!!. Ando was brilliant for Porto as an attacking MF, yet we constantly play him in other positions. My MF pairing would be Fletch and Ando. They are young, talented and hardworking, so let them develop an understanding and familiarize themselves with their roles (Fletcher can track back and work hard, Ando can push our attack forward (and does his fair share of tackling), both can pass really well...whats the problem with giving them a fair chance:confused:

Rotate your strikers no prob (as long as Rooney starts..)

Wingers run alot so at times rotate them as well (at times being the key word). Here again I think a stable wing pair like in the days of Giggs and Becks will be beneficial (better understanding with the full backs for one! Giggs/Erwin and Becks/Neville were outstanding). My wing pair would be Nani/Valencia (excited about Orbetan but will have to wait!). Not sure whats going on with Park but he seems to be regressing or just struggling to get up to speed after the off season:confused::confused:

Yes its early days so I'm not crying "abandon ship"...lol
Just would like to see more improvement on a good thing (cause lets not forget last year and the silverware that came with it..;))

Yesterdays game lacked some of that United flair and pace (and please lets try and keep Ronaldo's absence out of the analogy....lol):p

I changed my original post....whaaaaa:p:D
But the one thing about having Ronaldo in the team is that you knew he would be a constant on the RW....

We miss the work ethic and finishing ability of Tevez, as well as the creativity of Ronaldo... But, we won the league without them before!!!

You will always miss a player like Ronaldo, but players will always come and go, what matters is how you use the players you have. I think that too much rotating doesn't do the confidence much good. Players need time to develop rhythm, get into their stride (which is difficult to do when you play every second or third game (esp your MF pairing)

Your right. I don't need pannic just after 2 games.
Let's hope for the best on Saturday.
4-1 for United

Wow Carrick is ****. Sell that useless mother ****er. He does absolutely nothing.

Also SAF's line up and subs made no sense. He brings on Valencia and then takes off Owen. Valencia and Owen are supposed to be on at the same time :/

But yeah we definitely need a player like van der Vaart, our central midfield just does nothing. Anderson is horrible and Fletcher isn't world class. I'm sorry but if our midfield remains the same, we will not win anything.

Hargreaves? Not sure how long he's still gonna be out for though... He's a class act, albeit injury prone

Yeah he is, but like you said, injury prone.

I read that if he can't stay fit, United aren't going to extend his contract.

I rate let him go, he's just costing us.

Wow. You obviously have a short memory. Carrick is a class act, he held our midfield together last season. Missing one penalty doesn't make anyone a bad player.

True but he's not creative. I mean Rooney was having to drop down all the way to the mid just so he could get the ball. Carrick just hasn't got any flare.

Also I would like to know why SAF is still relying on Giggs when he's 35. This guy is supposed to be retiring soon. Then what?

Get van der Vaart while he's cheap :/

Ok that's true. He does have his games though. Remember Stadio Olimpico 2007? That 7-1 mauling of Roma? He played a massive part in that.

Last season Giggsy had one of his best seasons ever. He still has it. He was United best player last night. The midfield is still way too thin for the EPL. VdV would be a good buy. What does Real want for him?

I'm not looking for a player who has one good game for every 20 *** ones. Yes Carrick does have his games but they are way to far and few.

Yes Giggs is class but he and Scholes want to retire soon. If we're still relying on them now, what do we do when they retire?

As for vdv, Madrid want like 15-20mil for him. Can you say STEAL!!!!

Course not. It's doing such a good impression of Ray Wilkins that makes him mediocre. He doesn't do that much wrong, he just provides so little to the team. No creativity, no runs into the box, nothing.

And the people proposing VdV: if Ferguson plays VdV in a 4-4-2 without someone of the quality of Keane/Makelele alongside him, he will have officially lost his marbles.

You do need someone though, easily the worst midfield of the top 4. You're going to get torn a new one against the decent teams. Pretty much like last season, only worse. No Ronaldo to bail you out against the dreck of the league anymore, either. So not flat track bullies, and a weak first team. Oops.

I lol'd for the Ray Wilkins comment! Keano can never be replaced. Neither can Vieira at Arsenal. But yes, based on last night's game, the really combative teams in the EPL will be able to boss our midfield. Anyway... let's see what Fergie will do about it.
