I was surprised Carrick was dropped completely.

I wouldn't mind him in the middle with Fletcher, but Scholes played really well and there's also Giggs, or even Anderson or Park :)o) to fit in there as well..

Park and co. looked devastated behind Sir Bobby in the stands... lol

Carrick and Park deserve to be in the stands. Beautiful finish by Owen and a decent free kick from nani :)

Indeed. I'd let Nani take our free kicks and penalties. He needs to work on his final ball into the box and his corners..

Agreed. I remember Berba scoring a beauty from close range for Spurs against West Ham a few years back...maybe let him try his luck when the ball is closer to the box.

Anyone know what happened to Tosic? Thought he would feature more this season. Played well on the Far East tour...

Any serious injury to Rooney and United are so screwed it's funny.

Midfield still blows chunks too, other than the old men.

It usually leads to relegation though. Hull were the same last season and just escaped the drop.

Hmm United struggling to score again.

Hull are just awful, that's all. They'll probably get relegated this season, no matter how they play. Most of the newly promoted teams go straight back down. Nothing to do with how they play, they're just mostly really bad. At least if Wigan go down they won't be horrible to watch. Not that their loss had anything to do with playing football. More about whoever was marking Rooney jogging back while Rooney runs in to take a header, and other such sloppiness.

Jealous much?
My second team (first being in Spain..) won 4-1, what's there to be jealous about?

Any chance that the team in Spain is Barcelona? And why would you be jealous? Because United and SAF just proved you wrong.

Sure is.

No they didn't. They'll prove me wrong if they do well this season. One game proves nothing at all. ETA: Especially a game against a poor team. Remember that Wigan have had their squad absolutely gutted. They're probably as likely to go down as the new boys.

Ugh, I've seen him. Spouts a lot of nonsense. Just because I support the same team doesn't make me him.

I'm not terribly fanatical about teams anyway, just tactics :D

Just because I support United doesn't mean I'm gonna talk a whole lot of crap about Arsenal. I like the way they play. They a great team to watch... no need to raid the United thread. If you win the league, come and visit all you want.

I believe it was Hull that beat the Gunners at the Emirates last year btw...

Only criticising their tactics!

Yep, we sucked it up bad for a while there.

LOL. Just like without Ronaldo we will be screwed. Or Beckham, or RVN, or Cantona...

We will adapt. We always do.

You are screwed, in that you aren't anywhere near the best team in the world, which is surely always the goal of Manchester United.

Keep telling yourself that. You've adapted a few times in the past. That does not mean you will do so in the future.

Erm, last season we came within two games of winning EVERYTHING. "Best" in the world ornot, I think we'd've been pretty happy with that ;)

That makes no sense.
