Erm that was my post... you have the likes of Welbeck starting over Ando, Cleverley, Kagawa whilst the midfield consists of Oupa Giggs, Carrick and Young...

All Welbeck is good for atm is defensive duties... going forward he offers nothing, RVP can't shoot at the moment to save his life.

Had it been Hernandez + Rooney with Welbeck, Kagawa, Carrick, Cleverley/Ando we would have seen a different picture...

RvP does alot more than just shoot - he is a link up man, set piece specialist and just has the most sublime touches.

We were just missing a Cleverly/Ando instead of Giggs and Nani rather than Wellbeck

Agree... problem was in the midfield not up front.

Problem up front atm is RVP can't hit a simple target...

but ye the midfield is the biggest problem atm... not sure why Ando and Cleverley aren't being played...

I still believe that Carrick/Cleverley is our best midfield. This was evident at the start of the season as they both played in the wins over Chelsea, City, Liverpool etc.

Don't know why Cleverley has been relegated to the bench recently.

I dont mind that combo and yes they yielded wins against those teams. But we musnt forget that we also played two natural wingers as well

Nani is better than Wellbeck on the right and, he can produce even when he is useless

Valencia would still be a treat with Raf unlike Wellbeck who was in the middle most of the time

@stickfigure: man did SAF read our posts or something... Not what I was expecting with Hernandez + RVP up front and Rooney as playmaker, Kagawa on the left...

Definately shows Kagawa does way better in the middle of the pitch, whilst Rooney has vision and passing, Kagawa has the one-two touch play...

Hernandez up front really needs a crap load of support/supply from the midfield, he did bloody well against a rugby team

Masterful penalty from RVP

Forgot to add De Gea is playing way better than VDS could @ his age :D

Was hoping someone put that up - just love it!!!!! Says so much in terms of respect and RvP's enjoyment in this team

Fergie did say he will get his 20th!!!! - what a manager and what a player
