You guys are missing the General aka Keane - you need a player of his caliber in your midfield then everything will be GREAT again.

All greats can be replaced. We need backup for Scholes/Carrick and Fletcher - they should always start.

Nope - just Keane :)

He was like a Gerrard, Xavi, Viera - the engine of the team.

Yep, that's exactly the type of player our MF is missing --> a Ball-Winner!

Indeed. Carrick does that a bit and Fletcher is good at breaking up the play, but not quite on the same level as Keane.

Still, a good result at the weekend and we are looking good again :)

Indeed a great result, but more bite and drive will be needed in MF, esp against teams with technically gifted MF'ders (giving those type of players time on the ball is only inviting trouble:eek:)

Anderson wants United stay (skysports)

United midfielder happy to fight for place

he Brazilian is believed to have vented his frustration at missing out on a Wembley appearance after being left out of the Red Devils' starting XI that played Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Anderson's attitude did not go down well and the 21-year-old has played in just one of United's three Premier League matches since talks with Ferguson.

Despite question marks lingering over the former Porto midfielder's future at Old Trafford, he insists he wants to stay and that he now knows who the boss is.
Forgotten

"I believed that I would play in the Community Shield but that is forgotten now," he said.

"I thought that, without Cristiano Ronaldo around, I could to play more and that has been my challenge from pre-season onwards.

"But the coach decides the teams and to discuss this with him is foolish because he is the chief. I do not want to leave United. No.

"Sir Alex Ferguson has demanded a bigger effort from me and I accept that. Because to get into this United team is very complicated and difficult for any player."

You think it's a pity that he wants to try and earn his place? Wow man - you are a fickle fiend aren't you...

I think it is a pity he wants to stay.

I am not as blind as some supporters who just love anything in a United shirt.
