Must say Man Utd is now worth staying up to watch. That was one of the worst shoot outs I've ever seen but great entertainment.

Mata must be getting a significant pay rise to play Europa league next season

He played Europa league last season at that salary. And he'll get a decent pay rise regardless of whether United qualify for the champions league or not.

This move just needs to be confirmed already!

Not a chance unless it involves Rooney going the other way

LOL

At least you know what you're talking about, right Alan?

Chelsea did make a killing with the Mata deal, very good business by Mo seeing that there is an abundance of talent in the Chelsea midlfield.

Nice too a United fan excited about his arrival. Reading some reports and comments online. (media & twitter) everybody seems rather underwelmed.

I dont see that, it think the majority are happy with it but also know more needs to be done. I have a feeling another transfer will happen before the end of January.

I don't get why though.

Not sure where you're reading dude.. Most United supporters I know, and online supporters I've seen are ecstatic.

Yes. Very happy with the move. It will give the team a much needed boost and add some creativity and goals to our midfield which was lacking.

You are right, more needs to be done. A left back would be most welcome as well, or a more defensive minded midfielder.

I've just seen a lot people questioning the transfer. Stuff like:

"We've got Kagawa"
"Were will he play"
"How will he fit in"

I know Gary Neville had an not to positive report about it. Anyway, I might have been generalising a bit.

Panic buy by Man United.

"Yes Mata is a panic buy - but he is a very good panic buy."

Mata is not worth £37m.

Probably exactly what he is worth. If you bought him in the summer after the last two seasons he's had you'd probably pay close to Ozil money for him.

He's a new roof on a house with cracked walls. It is necessary, but doesn't address the biggest problems at hand. But no doubt United will move aggressively for one or two deep-lying midfielders in the summer window.

Unfortunately his price would have dropped considering the amount of games he has played this season. He did not fit in Mo's plans or system and he has lacked confidence this season. His ability to turn a game on its head has also been minimal this season...

Just how many goals/assists has he had this season ?

Perhaps carrying a niggle and some other issues..... 37 million reasons why Utd needed him !!!

Hes played two full matches(?) and created 30 chances. 2 assists.

Where do you get this from or are you just guessing/making it up?
