Either way, it's not too bad. A shame that he hasn't played more, but football is cruel at times.

Look at the diagram in Unhappy's link showing the games and wether Mata played. (X marks if not played). He had 3 games end Sept beginning of October and then a run of 4 games in December. The rest is a bit hit and miss.

In between that he had a 24 day spell with out football in Aug/Sep and another 22 day spell Nov/Dec with out any football. I think the point we're trying to make is that he was bit part this season and that can make if difficult for any player to find any sort of form.

Anyway, we might be getting a bit too technical here. Here's hoping he can find some form and guide United to 6th come May. :p:D

You're forgetting the international breaks in between, as well League Cup fixtures (not shown) and CL games, not to mention that he did struggle with a slight injury. It didn't affect his form as adversely as you might think, though.

But I do hope him the best at United.

Also I think he's played something like 52 minutes of football this month.

And yes, I saw that '6th' remark...

Did you watch the game and see the tactics up until DDG's mistake?
I saw the first half and a bit of the second half.
I did hear some callers on a football radio show afterwards complaining that Moyes' tactics were too defensive and that Man u were pretty much on the back foot for most of the second half.

I have seen Sunderland play a couple of times this season and each time the South Korean midfielder, Ki Sung-Yueng, has impressed me.
Surprised that one of the bigger clubs haven't made a move for him.
Damm good player!

What do you Man U fans think about Ferguson being present at matches?
Don't you think it puts undue extra pressure on Moyes'?

Ki is an awesome player.

Moyes should be able to do his job regardless of who is sitting in the stands.

I was impressed with Ki last season ...and Swansea shipped him off on loan to be replaced by one Jonjo Shelvey :erm:
