Individually targeting people responsible is a tricky thing to do at present. A stadium ban sends out a public message and is aimed at getting fans to monitor both their own behaviour, and those of their compatriots, lest they want another seat reduction. Pleading ignorance to something like that is just poor form.

The problem is the fine. It's such a paltry figure. The fines should be steeper, to incentivise clubs into dealing with these issues more thoroughly.

How so? Plenty of individual fans have been banned in the UK. Punishing thousands of innocent fans for a banner held up by just three knuckle heads is poor form.

I'm not saying that the individuals shouldn't be banned, but a stadium ban serves as a warning to everyone that such behaviour will not be tolerated. That the other fans allowed three knuckle heads to put up that banner and display it throughout the match, is terrible.

There have been many ''United and Moyes finally look like they've turned the corner'' moments this season only to be followed up by a spineless 3-0 home defeat against fierce rivals.

In my opinion this will either be a draw or a heavy loss.
