So if the latest rumours are to be believed then we could be spending 37m + 40m + 15m = 92m on Carvalho, Kroos and Gundogan. Then Shaw is rumoured to be around 27m, or 50m with Lallana. Add in a few CB's and we start looking like a really good squad. The Mata-Kagawa link up really did look great. Makes me wonder if we won't be seeing RVP on his way out with Rooney up front and those 2 behind him. The only real issue I see is that there isn't a formation to suit the players we have. We have Kagawa and Mata who like playing as CAM, Januzaj and Rooney also look good in that position. Maybe the plan is to play a narrow 4-2-3-1 with wing backs providing width.

Lol, 142m. Realistic

Lol what have you been smoking :D

Btw Gundogan can hardly walk at the moment because of his back issues and hes due to have surgery so you can cross him off the list.

I don't think they'd move for both Kroos and Gundogan. It will likely be one or the other and probably not Gundogan because of his health. I do hope they take an attack-minded or box-to-box mid before signing someone like Carvalho. They have too many conservative/defensive-minded midfielders. Fellaini and Cleverley are about the only ones that have go-forward abilities but neither are at the level needed.

Cleverley go-forward abilities?

Did you watch him when he was on loan at Wigan? His first season back at Old Trafford following the loan spell? A lot of Cleverley's woes can be attributed to being forced into a restrictive deep roll and that injury against Bolton. Under Martinez Cleverley was played as a winger before being moved inside and utilised as a box-to-box midfielder.

I have an inkling that Martinez will pounce on him if Moyes lets him go because he still speaks glowingly about him and his technical abilities.

I agree Tom Cleverley was great when he first broke into the United first team. I was distraught when he got injured against Bolton in the 2011/12 season.

But this season he's been terrible. There's no denying it.

Shaw will probably end up at pool as he will be a definite starter.

Liverpool will never pay 23mil+ for an 18 year old defender.

Not a chance. Southampton value him at £30 million. With Chelsea and United both linked to him there is no chance that Liverpool could compete in a bidding war against those two. United would probably lose out to Chelsea as well in a bidding war. All three would be poked if Moneybags City decide to wade in as they are rumoured to be interested.

He's been horrible for the past two seasons, with occasional flashes here and there and some decent performances for England when he's been allowed a little more freedom. Just saying that like Fellaini he does have the tools to get it moving, unlike Carrick and Fletcher who are more reserved in their style of play.

Shaw is a Chelsea fan so that complicates things.

No use in him going to Chelsea as they already have 3 decent left backs. Cole, the loaned out dude at villa and Alpilzner, whatever his name is. so it make no use to buy a player in a position that they have ample cover for.

he won't go to united as Moyes will destroy his career and make an average player out of him. The best place for him career wise whould be to go to pool and be a regular starter and shine under BR tactics and enhance his England career. It all depends if the owners are really keen to get the best English talent which will come at a price.

If you say so Kopite, hows Salah doing btw, has he scored a goal for Liverpool yet?

Pretty sure Shaw will be s starter if he joins United.

Looks like Evra is on the way out and Buttner doesn't look like being a long term replacement.

He would be a starter, not to mention Chelsea could sell players to accommodate Shaw but lets not ruin Kopites wet dream.
