Problem with united is that they have too many players vying for the same position and not enough cover in other positions. Moyes then have to play certain players out of position.

I think its too late for united to make a late charge for top 4.

Only 7 points. It's very possible. This makes our match against Everton, crucial. It wouldn't hurt if Sunderland took some points from Spurs tonight, either.

Highly unlikely, Everton and Arsenal would have to collapse, Arsenal have already had a mini collapse so you expect them to pick up form. Only easier games left for them now.

Top 4 is out of our reach, but if we continue with this very recent form, next season is going to be a lot better.

Who cares about 4th spot. Just win the Champions League. Trophy + Qualification.

Or continue their bad form... We would need Everton and Spurs to drop a few points. I still maintain that it's possible.

United would need a miracle as it means getting a result in Germany against Bayern, then Barce (or Atletico) over 2 legs and then probably Real Madrid in the final ... with the season United have had - I don't see it happening.

If they close strong I see them finishing within 4/5-points of Everton and Arsenal and it will come back to that disastrous run of home games against West Brom, Newcastle, Fulham, Spurs and Everton. Even if United picked up two wins there they'd be right in the middle of Everton & Arsenal.

They might actually do it. Bayern are having a bit of a wobble.

wishful thinking there hawker with no Rooney - I'm betting Moyes to put Welbeck (spit) up front...

I'd be happy if United finished within Europa league :)

I'm happy with that. He's got pace, and Bayern's defence is vulnerable at the moment.

Anyone know if Dante is back for the game?

So if the latest rumours are to be believed then we could be spending 37m + 40m + 15m = 92m on Carvalho, Kroos and Gundogan. Then Shaw is rumoured to be around 27m, or 50m with Lallana. Add in a few CB's and we start looking like a really good squad. The Mata-Kagawa link up really did look great. Makes me wonder if we won't be seeing RVP on his way out with Rooney up front and those 2 behind him. The only real issue I see is that there isn't a formation to suit the players we have. We have Kagawa and Mata who like playing as CAM, Januzaj and Rooney also look good in that position. Maybe the plan is to play a narrow 4-2-3-1 with wing backs providing width.
