this is a cracking match now. everything to play for.

The problem is, they scored too early. That woke Bayern up from playing with themselves like in the first leg

Bayern seem to hold all the aces. Can do little wrong in second half.

Typical Moyes he set-up the attack, his Everton way playing the long ball
defence was not to bad but the midfield forward play terrible Evra's goal
of the night. Rooney as usual useless, Welbeck is a joke. Keeper should of
saved two of the goals 1st and 3rd.

And now you're going to believe us Moyes is for the sack.

So Rooney was useless, Welbeck is a joke, the keeper should have saved 2 out of 3 and Moyes must go?

:wtf:

Disappointing, but I guess on the whole they played as well as they could in lieu of their deficiencies against the best team in the world. Lots of heart, lots of effort, just not enough technical nous to counter the talent on offer at Bayern.

I also think these last 4/5 games indicate the United can perform under Moyes, he just needs to be given more than a season before the knives are in his back.

United played well until they actually tried to attack. first half, defensively sound. good goal but conceding straight back was a hammer blow. if you rode out and led for another 10 minutes....

Rooney miss was a shocker IMO.

That dude on SS doesn't know wtf he is talking about.

If we hold on to Kagawa then we definitely do not need an attack minded midfielder, the amount of talent we have in that department is ridiculous. I reckon Kroos and Carvalho are our best options. Kroos to pull the strings and Carvalho to hold the fort. I don't see any reason why he can't be the next Yaya Toure, who also started out in mainly defensive roles. Cleverly is probably on his way out. I understand why someone like Martinez see's his potential, he would fit in well to a more tiki-taka style, but he isn't a United player in my opinion unless he can prove that he can be an effective box-to-box midfielder.

I'm not talking about another #10, 7 or 11, I'm talking about someone that can drive on from a deep position, be it one of the two in 4-2-3-1 or one of the two midfielders in a 4-4-2. Kagawa is not a player that sits in the base of the midfield. Kroos is actually the exact type of midfielder I am talking about, although he is lacking defensively, so signing Kroos won't exactly toughen the midfield up and you'd still need to rely on Fellaini/Fletcher or an out of position Jones to provide some steel. Part of the reason why he has battled to displace Schweinsteiger is that Schweinsteiger doesn't sacrifice too much technical ability while adding a lot more tenacity.
