did you watch the match or you just basing your judgement because Carrick is now suddenly the CDM in your eyes...

The minute they scored 3 goals was a result of Giggs replacing Cleverley, Scholes replacing Kagawa

Scholes, Giggs, Ando should have covered somewhere in the midfield. Which was the resultant goals.

When Evans is out covering Buttner cos his MIA where does a CDM end up, edge of the box?

If Evans is out of position who covers for him? Jones? Then if Jones is out of position who covers for him? Valencia? Ando? Carrick? but if Evans, Jones, Carrick are all out of position what happens?

I didn't see Scholes/giggs or Ando covering

You make it out that Carrick is a CM who can cover every single position on the pitch.

You go watch the game and see that Carrick was near the player causing the damage....but all you do is blame Ando (mus he cover every single position on the pitch?)

I know he was touted as the perfect replacement for Scholes..*spits*

Its sickening enough that he wears Keano's number *spits*

In your ranting you uncovered the whole reason as to why United shipped all those goals. The effective attacking players in the middle were subbed off for a couple of old chaps on their last legs. Now think about this for two seconds. When those old legs came on the result was United lost the ability to keep the pressure on West Brom further up the pitch, allowing them to get back into the game. There is a reason why Scholes is retiring and this is not the first time this season Giggs has been found out in the middle of the park. Carrick's responsibility is United's defensive & middle third, but he canot withstand a battering ram by himself. Giggs/Scholes/Anderson's job was to maintain pressure inside the attacking third, as the trio of Cleverley/Kagawa/Anderson had done. But they did not and they were overrun. The knock-on effect was that Carrick was overrun as well. And you criticse him for the fact that Buttner was regularly beaten wide and that Jones and Evans were falling over each other at the back? So sorry that Carrick could not do the jobs of 4/5 men.

All the good deep-lying midfielders have effective partners. Busquets has two fellas by the names of Xavi and Iniesta ahead of him, ensuring he'll never get overrun (unless they play Bayern Munchen). Real Madrid have the lung-busting Sami Khedira alongside Xabi Alonso, and that is before we even get to Oezil and that Portuguese lad further up the pitch.

Andrea Pirlo annihilated Germany and England. But what happened against Spain? Xavi and Iniesta carved him apart because the rest of the Italian midfield was blown out of the water.

Carrick is not going bust his way into a game. But if you give him the platform, he will dictate a game for you. For most of the game United gave him that platform and he ticked it over. When the changes were made United were knocked off of their platform. He isn't Yaya Toure, someone that can just mug an opposing midfielder, bustle his way past a few challenges and then rifle home a goal.

Exactly - great post. I am not Carrick's biggest fan, mainly because he gets caught dithering :), but I certainly acknowledge how important he is to the team. But he needs an energetic partner to provide the workhorse.
Imagine Carrick playing with Keane or Hargreaves (in his prime).

Who thinks Rooney is gonna leave and do you think he will stay in England?

Rooney will probably leave.

Bale will only leave Spurs to go to Madrid or Chelsea I think.

Im leaning towards Rooney leaving as well - what concerns me is that the talk is suggesting He might stay in England. SAF would not allow him to leave to another rival, me wonders what Moyes will do?

for bale ...united doesnt have the money and moyes for me is not someone that can make you grow like SAF does

as for rooney he can leave ....

atletico did say falcao will leave so i can only think to chelsea with a torres swap deal

but imagine him and RvP ..one deadly right foot and one with a killer left

Bale is signing a new contract at Tottenham he wont go anywhere. Anyway , Tottenham has a deal with Madrid who will get first choice on any player they are selling.

Bale needs to grow? :erm: ...and you do realise that Moyes managed Baines, Osman, Fellaini etc..

Falcao would be awesome
