Moyes screwing us over again, god.

Sunderland deserved to go through. Better team overall.

We were atrocious in the second half.

Can't believe how bad out penalties were. 2 defenders in the first 5 penalty takers?

As has been said, probably for the best. If we played like this in the final, city would put 5 or 6 past us.

Really hope Mata didn't watch the game tonight otherwise there's a strong possibility he's changed his mind.

That pic kinda sticks a knife in it: he leaves us, and gets in a cup final in his first season at his new team. This is a trend I'm not to sure I like...

I was thinking the exact same thing... Moyes feked up big time.
Looks like we will have to resolve tonfighting for a spot in thr Europa League.

I wouldnt want to see united play any of the current top 4 teams the way moyes insists on defending with a 4-4-2 crap
now carrick is injured, vidic suspended

Disgusting effort during the shootout.

Moyes was a little too defensive but those clowns need a klap upside the head as well. Half of them are not worthy of that shirt.

Mata is a brilliant signing. I wish we could get him :(

Though, it must be said, is he the player you need right now? your defensive has turned into a pile of crap and you do with an quality defensive midfielder.

That said, when a player of Mata quality becomes available, you got to sign him as the opportunity won't be there in the future.

Thank you United, for ruining my year. I can't believe that Mourinho is this arrogant to let our most creative player leave, for peanuts IMO...

Time for Brendan to put in a cheeky bit for Kagawa. ;)

I was wondering if there are any stats available with regards to which positions Mata played for Chelsea in 2012 & 2013 and how many times he was deployed in these various positions.

Looking at his goals from last year (youtube) most seem to come when he was central and a few from the right.

He is a part of what we need, but not the biggest need.

However, it works because he is a recognised star player. Star players attract other star players. United signing him indicates to other prospective signings that United are looking for quality and still mean business. For Moyes, personally, this is also a prestige signing that indicates to outsiders that he can attract a top-class player.

You don't need him :D Chelsea gonna win the CL with the current squad :D

I've had some time to cool off, and while the disappointment is still there, Mourinho has every right to sell him if he didn't feel that he was buying into his system. It takes a brave man to do that.

Kudos to United though, they have bought an absolute class player. I'm not sure that he is what they need now, but the same could have been said about Arsenal and Ozil. And what a lift he gave you guys.
