Wasted so many chances. I can't put everything on Moyes. The chances were there but often the guys looked lead-footed when the ball came to their feet in the box. Also, Fulham's back 6 made it so difficult to find space through the middle.

Also, that defence is utter bollocks. The merest sight of an attack starting and they are parted like the Red Sea. If it wasn't for Rooney's back-tracking. . . And again, won't put all of that on Moyes. Moyes' Everton sides were notoriously difficult to score against. A lot of these players deserve as much criticism as Moyes is getting and a lot of them need to go or catch a wake up. Vidic showed why losing him is not a major blow, his legs are gone. The slower pace of Serie A will be ideal for him.

You can't put everything on Moyes, but a Manager is not only there to coordinate tactics, but also motivate players and make those players want to win and do better. I didn't watch last night, but from I hear and read, Utd players just don't feel like playing.

And from what I heard, you guys were 2 -1 up, until Fergie time kicked in, but unfortunately the 4th official got it wrong, thinking Utd were 2 -1 down

Like I mentioned earlier, I didn't watch the game, but a team scoring in extra time didn't happen much this season and maybe you guys were just unlucky.

I think the frustrating thing for UTD supporters is the dull football that's being played. everyone knows what you going to do. push the ball to the wing and cross. There is absolutely fark all creativity in that side.

Liked that we played with all those attackers - even Carrick had a very good game. I could be overcritical with the first goal as I thought Carrick should have done more to stop the player from getting the pass away, but our defenders jus let Sidwell run right in. Second goal, Vidic should have headed that away (so I wont blame Carrick for that). I really enjoyed Carrick's passing and his willingness to attack and shoot

Januzaj should definitely start over Young

I guess we have to experience this kind of feeling once in a while - not lekker but you op fans better make the best of it..

For large parts of that game they had a back 6 and the midfielders were more than happy to jam the middle of the field in front of the back 6. The commentator even joked that as the game wore on Fulham would be playing a 9-1-0 formation, that is how many guys were dropping into the backline and just stuffing it. Space was at a premium. Then again, United's midfield has hardly been incisive this season and a better midfield may have been able to have worked through the tight spaces Fulham afforded them.

The defence was crap but if the tactics were right we should have scored 5 or 6 in this game. 81 crosses (a record for most crosses since opta started recording stats) and nether of the goals came from a cross. The most one dimensional tactic ive ever seen, Meulensteen said after the game: "Their game plan was straightforward. They put crosses in from wide angles. We defended it well.If you are well-organised, it can be easy to defend against." United are ranked 20th in the league for attacking through the middle. Last 9 games, won 2, drew 1, lost 6. Relegation form.

The Fulham manager had obviously been studying Utd's tactics this season, and countered them perfectly by cramming the box.

Something occurred to me yesterday when I was watching the game: you no longer have an academy core. Most of your success in the past was down to the players that had come through the ranks (Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, etc). As they've moved on, they seem to have been replaced by players of lesser quality. They haven't grown up the Man Utd way. May have had an affect since Fergus left.

Both goals came as a result of crosses into the box - we just had more players picking up the loose balls unlike earlier when it fell to nobody. We were never gonna break through the middle with them being so packed in the box

We would of been 5-6 up if the players were anticipating the balls being headed down or played across the box

1st goal: Evra cross into the box - 5 players were in the box - one gets a shot away, blocked by defender, Mata picks up loose ball and hit across for RvP.

2nd goal: cross from Januzaj. 5 players in the box, including Carrick on the edge who picks up the loose ball and hits it. Deflection as the def tried to get a block in

Not sure how you dont see them coming from wide areas as they were both crosses - not worked through the centre

Fulham defended well, we had to put more players in the box if we were to benefit from the crosses coming in - either from getting onto the crosses themselves or benefiting from the eventual blocks.

Once we managed to break through and get the goals - we should be defending much better than heading the ball into the centre (Vidic) in the last seconds of the game rather than clearing

Yup as i said both goals didnt come from a cross. When you make 81 crosses in a match then there is bound to be a cross in the build up but a goal wasnt directly scored from a cross. And re Fulham defending well, you only have to read Meulensteens comments to see why thats the case.
