Didn't they get a valuation of 2.3Bn? I thought that was quite a bit more than when they bought the club, or were they expecting more than that?

They turned down an offer of $2.3Bn two years back as they felt the club was worth more. Only 2 years later is the club worth what they thought it was back then.

Whoever buys the club is going to have to pay around $3Bn to get rid of all the debt as well. Not many peple want to spend that amount of money on a club. I can only see an oil rich country buying United.

Unless they are planning on using this IPO to prove to potential buyers what the club is worth.

Why would they sell? They just pulled $100 million out of the club no sweat. It is not the first and sadly wont be the last large sum they screw United's history and future for.

Trying to keep a positive outlook on this.

$100mil they just took out doesn't even touch the amounts Utd is paying in finance charges on the loans the Glaziers took out to buy the club in the first place. Plus their occasional "consulting" fees. I cringe when I think of where we might have been without those Yanks.

Just have to look further north (Glasgow) to see the dangerous game these guys are playing.

Fit & proper? My @rse...

Exactly, they pull huge amounts of money out of United and all the liability sits with the club. When the music finally stops it will be United that is destroyed and the Glazers will walk off with a fortune.

Haha, I'm glad no one is feeding you.

I don't think that is fair. The most likely outcome of the Glazer's ownership of United is decline in stature and performance. It is more of a question of how far and how fast rather than if.

He isn't trolling, Liverpool has been through what you are going through now. It has the potential to get ugly.

It's hard to differentiate with him when most of his posts are BS.

The Liverpool situation isn't comparable to what's happened at United, never mind the fact that the Glazers bought United before the Americans at Liverpool.

I'm not saying it's the same, I'm not saying the same thing will happen to Utd as what happened to Liverpool. Im just saying it has the potential to get ugly, because of debt + debt repayments which have the potential to cripple the club as well as the fact the owners really don't seem to care (same at LFC) all they are interested in, is how much money they can make out of the club. Which Americans at Liverpool are you taking about? H&G or FSG?

On some level it is. Bunch of people referring to the sport as "soccer" running a club steeped in history into the ground.

Im not sure how anyone can take a Liverpool supporter seriously when he/she comments about Man U. Or even take a Man U supporter seriously when he/she comments about Liverpool.

Do people really believe a supporter of a club can be objective about rival clubs ? lol.

Some people actually can be, if they have an IQ of 100 and above and don't get butthurt everytime they say something you disagree with.
