If you're playing at home, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If it was at Craven Cottage then I'd understand your worry. All you really want is to not fall too much behind in the early season because we all know you will pick it up later when others start slacking.
Yeah thats a plus as we should be more attacking leaving less for our defenders, but we need to be more active in MF and with Scholes we just arent so Im hoping Cleverly plays with Ando and Nani and Valencia on the Wings with Kagawa behind Rooney. RVP to come on for one of the wingers or a MF (playing either 442 or 433)

We dont start great, this I know but I still hate loosing first up!!

agh as usual ...the people get happy when united lose

for all this time i been watching united ..the time i worry is january ..if they havnt kicked into 2nd gear then i worry
I think we have to prepare to take banter from the Gooners this season when we stumble as we have the talisman and former captain. So when we mess up we are gonner get it bad and rightfully so - alls fair in love and war. So I think we better buck up and get our act together quickly

This was Vidic's first competitive game since December.

After last night I'd rather we sell Evra. He's way more of a liability than an asset these days.

Ye I have to agree, Evra was shocking the entire evening in defence...

he had to play too much up the wing so thats why

Well from what I saw SAF used the 4-4-2 formation

with Rooney Welbeck up front
Kagawa left, Scholes, Cleverly, Nani

Last season we attempted that, whilst it worked against Arsenal with the 8-2 it was due to piss poor finishing from Arsenal that United managed that scoreline...

if we play this formation this season we are #$^&...

Kagawa is best utilised behind a lone striker... 4-5-1 or 4-3-3- formation should be what SAF aims for... except with no CDM - carrick playing CB...

eish

i saw we played a 4 2 3 1 formation ..with kagawa left rooney middle and nani right and welbeck up with scholes and clevs in the cm

thing is ..kagawa and rooney stayed more in the middle with evra and clevs covering the wing which was the mistake since there was a gap left by clevs and fellainin exploited all the time when howard kicked the ball up

Ye that was second half... they changed it and it got worse... defence was exposed so badly...

Firstly, that was no 4-4-2 more like what sam said. It looked as if Wellbeck between left than centre, Kagawa (rightfully played behind the striker but at times Rooney was there as well?!?.

Scholes was just sitting there waiting for the ball but did nothing to help out so essentially we were one short in the Middle leaving Cleverly alone when tracking back and our defense even more vulnerable.

Felony - he just always was infront of Carrick who didnt once think to actually get in front of him and challenge. And everytime he won the ball there was a free MF because Scholes was nowhere

Why not leave Scholes out and play Cleverly as the runner in the middle supported by the wings and Kagawa with RVP and Rooney upfront

Valencia Clevs Nani
Kagawa
Roon RVP

or
Carrick
Valencia Clevs Nani
Kagawa
Roon/RVP

Problem is Carrick was playing CB... Ando cannot play CDM :(

Told you we should have bought Fellini...

We did play a 4-2-3-1 formation last night.

Kagawa was supposed to be on the left, but he played more centre which is what pushed Welbeck to the left. He had a couple of breaks down the left wing.

Carrick playing as CB meant we didn't have anyone shielding the back 4 properly.

Can't believe you people still want to play Nani after last night. I'd stick Valencia on the right and Young on the left. Nani should be a 20 min sub until he gets his schit together.

Yes but even in the Middle Carrick would not challenge. Ando was never a CDM but we need energy in there and Scholes cant run

SAF really should have bought a quality CDM. There's just no steel in the midfield. I honestly would've taken a quality CDM over Van Persie, seriously.

I will pray every night until Auguest 31st that we sign a CDM.
