Dammit, really had high hopes for this kid.

at least it is just a loan .. for rb we have valencia and young varela as back up .. I wouldn't particularly want jones there .. but if jones/smalling and lindelof can hit it off we might see bailly there .. alternatively if shaw can come right we have darmian (believe he is a better lb personally) .. but he can also play there ... worried we're getting a bit thin although i don't think we'll miss CBJ much yet.

also, heard and saw some good things from tuanzebe in the pre season .. i know mou likes to work with 23 players only ... but hopefully this is more of a signal of someone incoming .. fabinho perhaps?

Wasn't Varela sent home from loan for getting a tattoo against the club's wishes that got infected.

Ex-United coach lifts the lid on Fergie’s four demands

Rene Meulensteen has revealed the four things that Sir Alex Ferguson wanted from all of his Manchester United sides.

The former United first-team coach worked under Ferguson for six years in which time they won four Premier League titles and a Champions League.

And Meulensteen has opened up on the four demands the Scot placed on all his players during the Dutchman’s time at the club.

“The ultimate aim was to win, but Sir Alex wanted to win in a certain style,” Meulensteen, told Trainingground.guru.

“I can remember him bringing me into his office when he’d made me first-team coach. He had a flipchart and said, ‘listen, Ren – I don’t need to talk to you about how to run your sessions, you know all that. But I’d like to reiterate what I want to see.’

“Possession is important, but always possession with a purpose. When we attack I want to see pace, power, penetration and unpredictability.

“These are the four things you must instil in the team in every single training session.”

Liverpool legend Gerrard rates Man United title chances

Steven Gerrard predicts that Manchester United will be competing at the top of the Premier League again this season.

The Red Devils have strengthened in the summer with the additions of Victor Lindelof from Benfica, Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea

And the Liverpool legend is backing Jose Mourinho’s side to start moving in the right direction under the Portuguese coach.

“Romelu Lukaku is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and Matic, for me, is an excellent signing,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“It was only going to be a matter of time before Jose went out and got those pieces of the jigsaw that would make United stronger and able to compete at the top of the league again.

“It certainly looks like they’re moving in that direction now.”

When asked if United would be in the mix for the title, Gerrard replied: “Yes, for sure.”

Odd why people are slating JM for sending Sam Johnston, CBJ and TFM out on loan... those players would not get any game time at United best they get somewhere else.

We already have Rashford, Lindgard, 2x Pereria's, Scott McTominay stepping up to the plate

apparently we set to sign Serg Aurier

I've been reading about on and off reports regarding that...will wait and see

Apparently, there was a court case holding up his VISA. They said a decision would be made today by the court. TFM moving on loan could mean the decision was positive

mind games to fek with RM ahead of the Super Cup?

Always a possibility with Mou. But I genuinely think he would sign him and that there is still doubt in terms of Mabappe coming and so on..

We''ll see as this could be that end of August transfers
