Official Modern Warfare 2 Discussion Thread

Damn Kyubs! I tried for the first time last night to get the game pack and it downloaded perfectly and played quite a bit...

(last night was the first time I could connect to Steam without difficulty - THANKS FOR THE REDUNDANCY SEACOM!)
 
I found last night that in a couple of games, it starts, connecting, and setting up the game, and then just hangs. about a minute later you get kicked and have to start all over again. But this is only in resurgence, as normal TDM worked fine

But when I joined Slaughters game it was all fine. So it must be the hosts as well that is causing some issues

I will let you know. I have mates in my area, but they didn't get the map pack...It should be fine by tonight though. Anywho.. this did give me time to catch up on single player gaming. I am playing PoP at the moment. I am loving it <3

I think so. It happened once last night where I had to restart a map in order for everyone to join. It just times out! So it is host related and, possibly, Seacom related...

@slaughter, I've been playing really badly this week, got sore neck and shyte going on... plus the SoS guys have been on fire this week, I thought to myself WTF! Like I'm going backwards.... But then last night I played 3 maps without the SoS guys and I pwned!?!? LOL, U guys are getting too good these days, nice to play the 'plebs' once in a while!

Damn, there's a holdup on the new maps from AlterIW ...... instead of tomorrow, it'll only be Sunday, damn.

Any more info on what the new maps are like from your points of view?



(there are waaaaaaay too many gamers in my area :p)

LOL... everyone goes through patches. Cant really say that I have been struggling this week as I have not really been playing much. Will see next week though! :)
 
Mephisto, ja, they are awesome maps! Fuel is going to be the new overgrown and better as it is massive! there is a central building for those who like to run and gun, and there is a huge "remote" area for the snipers who want to pick up the stragglers...

Carnival is also pretty big but it is the opposite of Fuel as there isn't really much sniping going to happen. You might get one or two kills as a sniper, but it better suited to run and gun, or even shotties as it is pretty close combat with all the nooks and crannies you can hide in. Real campers map.

Trailer park is going to be a hit because it offer VERY little from a sniping perspective, and will suit shotties or UMP45's more. quick and relatively small - much like favela with less rooftops.

Obviously as I am typing this someone probably found a couple of nice sniping spots on all maps and will prove me wrong tonight, but thats the way the cookie crumbles! :)
 
that's coz most of the noob chops are liking to be camping ....... and Rust = no camping
 
I usually play rust with my mates. When theirs 8 of us online we play Team Tactical and Rust gets selected a lot. I hate that Mosh Pit has been removed :mad: IW has managed to F### up again!

It is going to kill the SA community. I can only play a few games of TDM and I get bored....
