As for my opinion, as a RM supporter, on Benitez. Can't say I'm happy about it. Hope he does well, because I want us to succeed no matter who's in charge. If he doesn't do well, I just hope the damage is minimal. Our team is too good to not have a manager of the same caliber.

If it were up to me, I would have kept Ancelotti.

Lol my question (dig)... it's unbelievable that he got a 3 year contract - who did he have to do to land this job is beyond me...
Hell I expected Septic Bloater to get fired/quit cos his corrupt as ****, but to sign Rafa...

2 Years at Napoli and 0 trophies, he ended 3rd last year, this year he landed 5th and suddenly his the new RM manager... what a joke
 
So, just finished watching the Roma game :(

Man, those penalties were hectic. I was on edge the entire time. Neither side had their first choice penalty takers on hand, but if we did I think we could have won it.

Didn't think we played too well in the first half, but was happy with the second half. Though they had better chances which they failed to capitalize on. Really enjoyed the last 15min or so, we were really dominating.

Isco was on fire, really enjoyed watching him play today. It's gonna be really tough for anyone to make the starting 11 this season on a regular basis. Also good to see Modric back after his injury. I'm hoping for more squad rotation in general this season.

The new kits look awesome, love the silver/grey. Can't wait to get one. Anyone know who retails them for a decent price? Looking for the CR7 shirt, but not willing to pay R1000+.

Even though it was only a friendly, I would have preferred to kick off the 15/16 season with a win.

I watched the game on YouTube, they're usually under "live streams".

The players looked rather lost or unmotivated...
 
By the time I got home, I only managed to catch the last 30min.

Streamed the game. Telkom and their damn exchange congestion are severely shorting my life span.

So out of the 30min, only had a few seconds here and there where it wasn't buffering, too pixelated to see anything or changing resolution. DSTV Now's streaming is pretty rubbish as well.

Thus, I probably saw a different game to what was on. What I did see though, I thought wasn't too bad.

We were attacking well had had most of the possession. Finishing seems to be a bit of a problem. We had a couple of decent chances, like the header CR7 missed and his off side tap in that he also missed.

Not sure why RB insists on playing Bale as a #10, like WTF when we have to push James/Isco onto the wing to do it.

Off to a bad start as Barca and Atletico already grabbed 3 points from the 1st round. Nothing to get too down about though, the season literally just started.

Such a disappointment. How you start the game with James on the bench and play Bale in the no. 10 role beats me. I hope he is fired before the end of the year.
 
I'm in 2 minds

I really like Madrid and more specifically Ronaldo and Bale (man crushes:o) and want them to win everything in Spain

But I hate RB and want him to show is incompetency

Madrid supporter through and through, but not a fan of RB.

Still want him to succeed as the club is more important than him.

Also, him being an ex Liverpool man doesn't help at all.
 
Guesses on when Benitez will be sacked? Before the end of the season is mine.

Ideally he wouldn't be sacked because we'll be winning everything (best case scenario).

If we don't win anything though he'll most certainly be sacked.

It won't be mid season though, it'll probably be at the end of the season like with CA.

Perez would probably do it anyway :p, realistically you wont win everything though.

If you are out of everything towards the end of the season, say end of April, i doubt Perez will let him stick around just to finish the season off.

Could have been worse I guess.

PSG ain't gonna be easy, but I think we'll top Group A.
