I considered giving another JB ROM a go, but the thought a bit about it and decided to stay with ICS (RocketRom). I just cant find any faults with it. Does all I need, butter smooth, and with GO Launcher, looks good too (Been about a year since I last used GO). I just grabbed the official JB rom, working very nicely, its like melted butter smooth.

I also have 1 x SGP ULTRA OPTICS and 1 x SGP OLEOPHOBIC screen protectors for sale. I imported them from Canada but my case came with a screen protector which arrived first so I put that one on and never got around to using these. These are the best that I could find according to plenty of reviews, so read up about them and let me know if you want them. I will sell for the same price that I bought them for.

Whilst I am talking about selling, I ordered a RINGKE SLIM Case in white for my NOTE II but Nashua sent me a grey phone, so when it arrives I will have a white case if anyone is looking for one. It is the best selling (and slimmest) case for the NOTE II. Check out the REARTH or Amazon website for details. Mike bought one from me a few months back so he can give you an unbiased opinion, should you need further convincing.... ;-)

If you are upgrading to a NOTE II you won't even remember that you had a NOTE 1.....! (sorry to say)
 
I'm sure I'll always remember I had a Note 1 - after I upgrade to a PadFone 2.

I dumped Apple for Samsung, and happy to now dump Samsung and its much delayed ZA firmware updates, for Asus.

Where do you get official JB ROM?

My wife is not happy with all the performance issues with CM10, I need to flash something else that is very stable, soon.

Looking at RocketROM V12...
 
Hi everyone,

So far, loving the stock JB ROM! Very smooth and very stable.

What is the best way to root the device? Has anyone come upon an easy way?
 
sad to say Rocketrom is no longer being developed for Note :( His JB rom was awesome.

currently using Ultimate N7000 Rom based on 4.1.2 its good but its not rocketrom :(

Still using Stock 4.1.1 ROM, loving it. I think Touchwiz/Nature UI (what should it be called by, nowadays?) has some unique features that I love, and missed. The transitions are very smooth. I discern the slightest bit longer delay between switching screens (before the smooth transition starts) but that's a small price to pay for me.

But I need root...waiting for a Odin flashable root process, as the other methods require that you have an external SD card (I don't)...so I am waiting for CF-root.

Well apparently you can use Philz kernel to flash with Odin, I did that, but to no avail...and yet I have the yellow triangle.
 
yellow triangle is easy to get rid of ... (if rooted) :D

Still think these JB Roms are sluggish.... This one is better than the last few, by a bit.. but i hate the time it takes to switch tasks... ICS is faster imo... The PiP is cool tho ;)

Do you use Triangle Away? (Even on JB ROMs?) Although I have the triangle, the app says I don't have root (even root checker).

What is PiP? Sorry if that's a noobish question :rolleyes:
 
I used Triangle away back when I did my first rom / root to ICS. Worked a charm, no triangle since....
