I could not give a flying horse fsck about the conference cup.

I guess the SA teams play for pride and then they can boast they at least finished above the other SA teams. :D

Besides for the Sharks winning the SA conference, as many guys on there has indicated. Do you think the other SA teams has a chance of making Top 6 and lets throw a spanner in the works.

By making a decision with your head and not your heart, who is going to take the S15 this year ?

that is what the Currie cup is for, here you do not have a level playing field as you play all the SA teams twice but then play different overseas teams.....

I think the Stormers could have a surprisingly good year as the main thing to progress to the knock out phases is having enough good forwards and a then you can add a mediocre back line.

I think SA will have two teams in the top six minimum. My Money is on the Stormers and the Sharks. Then the Cheetahs and Bulls are the dark horses with a shot at slot 5 and 6 in my opinion.

By making a decision with your head and not your heart, who is going to take the S15 this year ?

They Chiefs should be a great force again this year as they have retained most players and they are an enterprising team. The Reds might this year look like a good team again. The Crusaders are as always a threat. The Sharks are in my opinion the only real chance SA has at winning the cup as the stormers struggle in knock out phases, the Bulls lack the experience and the depth thereof, the Lions is just a no, and the cheetahs struggle with depth in general.

These things are hard to predict as about two years ago the blues had n awesome team on paper but they just did not gel. Must people were tipping them to be in the last four even before the season started.

Thats a very difficult qeustion.

At this stage of the competition you can just as well put every teams name in a hat and pull one ( you have your exceptions Lions, Force, Rebels ect. :D ) But like what was mentioned previously the team on paper does not matter. At Round 8 we will have a beter idea

I agree. I wonder if the black out is not more a strategy to get more people to attend. I would have loved to have watched from home with a nice braai going.

If the Polokwane match is anything to go by (probably also a load of lies though) then DSTV don't want to carry the cost of broadcasting if it won't make them money. With revenues being dedicated to the actual season it is likely that not enough advertising can be sold. So SS - being the greedy money-hungry sycophants that they are - don't feel we have a right, need or interest in seeing these warmups. They will gladly broadcast if the stadium carries the costs.

I feel like a kid waiting on Xmas. Yes the format is not perfect and no this does not excite me as much as the old format BUT, the Rugby will be great and the skills on display will be great to view as I have had to settle for Top 14 and Six nations rugby:( :p

Good luck to all the SA teams, hope one of us can lift the cup this year.

Never been into gambling. What is the payout ratio if the Lions win?

The long term bets are;

To win the tournament
Force 250/1
Lions 500/1
Rebels 500/1

South African Conference;
Sharks 13/10 --> Not bad, might actually take a nibble on that.
Stomers 18/10 --> Also will take a nibble on that, to cover the Guppies.
Bulls 7/2
Cheetahs 8/1
Lions 50/1

Wooden spoon;
Force 16/10
Lions 16/10
Rebels 5/2 --> My long term money maker. I believe the Rebels will take the wooden spoon.

The wooden spoon are the top three the Chiefs are at 2000/1 to take the wooden spoon.

But I want to get a special bet. How much for the Cheetahs to end above the Bulls. I think the bottom two of the SA conference will be taken up by both the Gauteng teams.
