Yes with a penalty try. This game is a big joke. The Kings battling against 12 men. They are going to need every cent of the R100 million sponsorship to buy a full new team with reserves and new coaching staff. They are a joke. I think most of our provincial B teams will put up a good show against a team with only 12 players.
 
Well done Kings. The bonus point was earned their at the end, though the call at the breakdown there at the end was a bit questionable due to Sykes... however the Kings was still secured with the 2 points lead. Horrible discipline by the Jaquares, the two reds was well deserved. I do question the quick penalty try reward, as I would had gone back to the scrum, the third time penalty the try could had been given. Nonetheless, the Kings won against a ill disciplined team.

Hmmm... the R100mil sponsor is NOT for Southern Kings, but the EP Kings.

SARU own the Southern Kings franchise and unless the give it back to EP Rugby, it will not improve.

I doubt that the local provincial B teams will be victorious against a 12 man Jaguares team. The Kings Super Rugby team is more than capable to win a Currie Cup.

Do they plan to hand Super Rugby back to the EP Kings, the whole banquet? Because well, SARU has a big hand in the Kings pie.

I can only trust that things smooth out well with the politics, the last thing a union want is to be held ‘hostage’ by the governing body, likewise with the clubs…

Also knowing that many EP supporters has invested their pride into the union.

Debatable

They have some good players. The frustrating fact is that they were really struggling and only after they were awarded a penalty try and playing against 12 men they managed to secure the win. We all understand their problem but when it is 15 against 15 they struggle to compete. I just think it is not good for their rugby to be playing under these circumstances.

Yes that limits your options. I really want them to do well. You can see that they really trying. Hopefully it will happen when those Watsons are not there anymore.

Agree 100%. Politics must be left out of sport. I remember that back in the days of the legendary Danie Gerber they were my second choice team.
 
It is good to see the Blues starting to play rugby, though a bit late in the season. Now they only need to keep it up.
