Kak start to my weekend.

What was that referee smoking? Twitter is going crazy with those ridiculous scrum penalties against the Cheetahs.

He did not blow one scrum penalty in the first half but nailed the Cheetahs in the second. And at each and every scrum the Brumbies went early, yet he penalises the Cheetahs.

Yes, I'm bitter because team lost. But the referee calls in the last 15min were suspicious.

Haha. Look I also picked the Brumbies to win so I am 2/3 for the weekend. But the Cheetahs surprised me and they did not deserve to lose like THAT!

Having said that. The Cheetahs were knocked back in the tackles and did not stop the Brumbies in their tracks. We also played behind the advantage line way to much!

Excited about that Willie le Roux. Had a great game. Scoring one try and setting up another. And to think he is actually a fly-half.
 
Agreed.

Looks like the Brumbies had a significant weight advantage in the back line. Started to take its toll last 20.

2 x 2 point defeats in 3 games must be heart breaking for cheetah team and fans. The difference between a great start to their campaign and a disastrous start to the campaign...

Saw that on Twitter between two people arguing about the ref. So true!

Ref was dodgy but I always believe that you shouldn't be in a position where one or two calls against you will determine the result.

Cheetahs defended their lead and stopped playing.

Looks like the Highlanders vs Waratahs match will also be a tight one.
 
Christian Lealiifano kicked an injury time penalty to give the Brumbies a controversial 24-23 win over the Toyota Cheetahs in their Vodacom Super Rugby game in Canberra on Saturday.

The Cheetahs were penalized several times in the last 15 minutes by referee Keith Brown, who took aim at their scrum and allowed the Brumbies to claw themselves back from a 23-10 deficit to get the crucial penalty after the hooter.

It was a critical juncture, as the Brumbies looked to hit early on the engage on every scrum, with Brown allowing it in full view, and then when the Cheetahs tried to meet it they were heavily penalized.

The spate of penalties infuriated the Cheetahs players, who were left to shake their heads at the treatment they received, and allowed the Brumbies to steal a win they hardly deserved in the game.

Agreed - I have also always maintained that if you are two full scores ahead and then the ref fks it up, you can have a grievance. But neck on neck, you have not protected your lead.

And it is not like the Cheetahs were ahead 23-10 and then the ref started fking up. Oh, wait...
 
Blows my mind how often South African teams can the rough end of the ref's whistle.
 
And once again, it's a fscking obvious-as-daylight skewed ref that decides an outcome of a game ....... if I were the Cheetahs I would press that fact at every available opportunity, because it was pure BS
 
Phewww...at least got the last two games right.

Hard lines for the Cheetahs, they deserved a win.
