Pathetic attempt by the Blues, to be honest. What was up with the team selection? Had like 4 debutants on there, taking off beasts like Faumuina. Well done to the Bulls, though. Deserved the victory. Had an all round strong performance today. Used kicks when it worked, and ran when it was on. Great stuff.

Dammit - shoulda played my heart on superbru and not my head. My heart has been serving me well so far. What a weekend. I have such a fkn hangover and I can barely keep my eyes open but the boys in pink are doing it!!!!!

BULLE

Same here.

Bulle

What a weekend for the SA teams. I only picked 1 SA team to win and that was just because it was played at home. But I am pleased to be wrong this time round

There is something seriously messed up with the Sharks attacking gameplan. If you are unable to score a single try in 200 minutes of rugby you need to re-evalute your gameplan. Bonus points are crucial if you want to secure home ground playoffs. Scraping by on penalties will screw you later on in the competition.

It's an amazing looking stadium out there, I remember the old Boet Erasmus stadium, and this is quite the upgrade.

Nice to see a soccer stadium being used, and 42000 people gong there.
True, it really is a world class venue. After the SWC they took out the grass that FIFA insisted on using and re-planted the entire pitch - what a difference it has made!

I have fond memories of The Boet (playing and watching sport) but it was seriously lacking in facilities. The field also faced the "wrong" way...

Continuity announcer's "jingles"... while it may be drowned out at the stadium, it comes through very, very loudly via the on-field microphones.
Might be more to do with SuperSport's placement of their mics.

The groundskeeper is a bit fanatical but it's worth it. The pitch looked pristine even after AFCON.

Last time I was in the stadium was 1980, but remeber long rows of cement seats with grass between them.

I saw the outside of the new one a couple of times, and was most impressed.

Think some guy from here won a photo competition with a night time pic of it, name was chau or something.

Found it.

Give that man a Bell's.
He gave the sharks reserves a right bollocking last night for warming up in the wrong area.

FWIW there's still a strip of the original SWC grass as well.

EDIT - maybe it was the Pampas reserves… or maybe it was both of them.
