The Stormers did play a better game than they did the whole season and yes the Bulls did play crap but if you were going into the semi finals of the Super 15 would you play like demons and risk injuries? I hope they just held back for that reason and that we will see a much improved Bulls side in two weeks time.

I see you and raise you..

But if you got the opportunity to claim top spot and get a home final would you really not fond that as a motivation to actually try to win the game.

Your anology makes no sense buddy. You anyway get 2weeks before you play again.

You my friend are delusional. What you harping on about the Stormers performance.they did what they needed to do and thats winning the game. You should have told our team to pitch up and tried to win the game and not sulk like you. If you want to be the top team, you got to be the best, irrespective of the opposition. Grow up for a change. The Chiefs and the Crusaders are going to crusify you at Moftus

Says grow up after I ask a very valid question, and goes on to make "Moftus" jokes. Funny guy.

Btw, I am very happy with the changes in the Sharks management. They have good players but keep playing rubbish as a team. I though there was a coaching problem for a few years now. John Smit will be a change for the better.

Firstly, I'm not taking anything away from the stormers. They played a brilliant game and if they played like that from the start they would probably have ended up top of the log. I just don't get the Stormers supporters being so happy because they played one great game during the Super 15 season. Great, they beat the Bulls. It doesn't change the fact that once again there will not be a Super rugby trophy at Newlands whereas the Bulls still have a chance of winning it (although not if they play like they did last night).

Secondly, that wasn't an analogy.

a·nal·o·gy
/əˈnaləjē/
Noun
A comparison between two things, typically on the basis of their structure and for the purpose of explanation or clarification.
A correspondence or partial similarity.

Well done to the Stormers. The bulls were out classed on Saturday and will not make the finals if they do not seriously lift their game.

I hope the cheetahs can make it through at least another round so that we have two teams in the semis.

The reason the Stormers are so happy is, because that is all they can be happy about. They had no chance of making the playoffs and as a consolation price they mutilated the Bulls.

Not sure if there are many soccer fans, but its like when Liverpool beats Utd. Its all about that match and not about where you lie. North vs South is always about the match.

But really hope the Cheetah's can pull off some miracle and play there hearts out and win this thing. Bulls will be my 2nd team.

Cape Town - The Stormers will lodge a formal protest to SANZAR after receiving a ‘crazy’ provisional fixture list for the 2014 Super Rugby season.

I agree with him - and I have mentioned this before. Stupid SANZAR. Another piece of S15 fail. Amazingly, when I bitched about the format last week, several people posted with an "alternate" scenario. A scenario that they could not have spent more than a few hours dreaming about. And every single of of this thumbsucks is BETTER than the crap fest SANZAR managed to fart out of its brain. The above illustrates another flaw.

I hope my 'thumbsuck' was a good idea ;)

As for the Stormers complaining about a tough tour they can go piss that notion in the wind - Cheetahs drew the short stick this year (we did miss the Brumbies and Saders) but we had our first bye in round 12 (Stormers already had both their byes in rounds 5 and 9) and then our second in the last week of the round robin. So if we can do it then so can any other team.

That does seem very harsh.

It is my point - why can we mere fans come up with ideas that are infinitely better than the toss the admins manage. Yes, all ideas on here were good. All trump the rubbish we currently have as well.

Thing is (unless you don't play each other that year) it is een vir my een vir jou, this year the Stormers had the Chiefs, Saders and Brumbies at home and missed the Reds. They had the tahs and rebels away from home.

They have the away games that the Bulls had this year and I can't remember the Bulls crying about how unfair the tour is.

Bulls played the Blues iirc.

Back to the Cheetahs:

Oh just checked we are going to play the Brumbies on Sunday - I'm happy with that as it is likely we will play the Chiefs in the semi's so the travel won't be too intense. Yes I'm calling a Cheetahs win - I have to :D

They don't pay that well after a break... Hope they will thump the Brumbies though

Don't think the bulls played the Chiefs away did we? But ok if you put it like that..... :D

Well the stormers are a tad.... erm....more in touch with their feelings.

Bulls played the Blues iirc.

That would be awesome... knocking out an Aus team and another SA team in the Semis! :D
