Think u got me confused with a sharks supporter. :)
I looked 10 times, looked like a try.
Ball did not touch the line at all.
Our fumbling cost us.

My point exactly. The try you were awarded did not look grounded to me - looks like he lost it fwd, in fact. But, there is an argument for downward pressure that I think is subject to interpretation. Same as the first. So, swings and roundabouts. Oh, and it was not so much the fumbling as the failure to rack up the score. Seriously. A hard-fought lead wins. If you cannot establish one at home, then fight hard to keep head above water. Or, end like the sharkies...

Our first one looked fine to me, and you're right about the 2nd, that looked dodgy.

Maar nou ja, we've won a lot of games this season, so bound to cock one up.
We're not a bad side away from home, so not so bad yet....

No I'm not - your too modest about this :D

On crucial stages, the Stormers lost the ball. I think they kicked away too many posession and they weren't able to establish some sort of rythm. Bryan Habanna's 6 penalties also cost you guys. He should learn to leave the tackler and leave the ball when he is off his feet.

The Brumbies had a few great steals which the Stormers didn't have.

Yes, I did watch the game and saw what happened.
The first "try" was a try that's my issue. 2nd one was dodgy.

I actually thought the 1st try was more dodgy than the 2nd. There was downward pressure on the ball causing it to 'pop' out and looked like he lost the ball...the 2nd try that is. The Reds' scrummie, Genea, just scored a try and when he dived over it looked almost the same with the ball 'popping' out from the downward pressure.

There is nothing wrong with the Stormers' second try. Like Fiekus said, it popped up after the dotted it down. The first one touched the line.

Do you want me to ask Johan Meuwesen something about this incident this afternoon? I can clarify things if you want me to, but most probably he will just tell me what I am telling you now.

Going along...the Reds are playing some good rugby!

SO many wrong decisions from the players.

And what the F is going on with our scrum?

Not maybe changes made at the wrong time? I thought they were playing ok earlier.

I feel Nokwe should have kept ball in hand each time, but instead he kicked and chased.
Should have kicked to posts every time we got a kickable penalty. Instead we tried a tap and lost possession. Also tried for touch, knowing that our line-out was struggling.
Our scrum was going backwards at the speed of light.
Too many forwards in the backs. Why not keep it slightly tighter if you want to use the big guys to carry it up?

And FFS, get Mapoe back to wing. Big injustice playing him at center.

Well done to the Highlanders.

Much as it hurts me, I hope the Bulls win. At least 1 SA team must win this weekend!!!!

Dammit. The Waratahs are looking very very good in the first few minutes.

Bulls will bounce back now.

Bulls to restore SA pride... c'mon Bulle! Altitude should get the Tah's in the 2nd half :p

That does it! Bulls you beauts! Also possibly deprives the Waratah's of a bonus point :)

What about that Phil Waugh... man how he wasn't sent off is beyond me... how many times was he penalised? And after the ref warned him and his team as well?

Had me worried there for the first 20 mins.

But then the Bulls picked up the pace and whom ever said the bulls can not play running rugby?

Maybe, but the other provinces keep poaching the Lions players. Just look at this season as an example.

That and the lions are not the riches of the Unions anymore.

Sure it is now Bulls -> Sharks -> WP -> Lions -> VRYSTAAT! -> Rest

Sarel Pretorius starts ahead of Tewis.
Daniller and Viljoen swaps places.
Mapoe back to wing as Robert Ebersohn debuts at center.
Kabamba Floors back on the bench.

I can only speculate that the Cheetahs are going to have a very expansive game-plan. :)

There's also been a lot of talking going on about Robert and his abilities, size and making the step up to Super Rugby. 90% of the people are already putting him down as a failure. All because they think he is too small, lacks physicality or simply won't be able to make the step up.
I say: "Watch this space".

Robert is one of the few young stars that, IMO, was managed correctly.
He was never rushed into Super Rugby. The decision to let him play 7's for a year - whether it was his choice or a management choice- was a very good one.
And I think the injury last year during the Currie Cup was a blessing in disguise. Gave him more time to reflect on his goals and get hungry for rugby. Also spending some much needed time in the gym.
