Bonus point try for the saders. This match is going up and down

Well done for the 'win' through cheating. Shocking refereeing. Can't believe he didn't take it to the TV replay. The pass was so forward.

Can't wait to beat your cheating ways at Newlands!!!

The TV ref can only adjudicate what happens over the tryline or near it in the act of scoring... but still, Steve Walsh would have been proud!

Dicey try... yes it did come off a 'Saders player but then it hit Maku's head and went forward into Hougaard's hands. So it was not a forward pass, but the second "header" was a problem!

Still a great game!

The pass wasn't forward. In real-time I thought it was knocked back by Crusader player, but it was knocked forward by Crusader, into Maku's body and then to Hougaard. Bulls look like their heads weren't in this game. Suspect they were thinking about the Stormers next week.

Yeah well that pass lead to the try... I'm sure that would be defined as 'in the act of scoring'. Nevertheless, even if it wasn't, it was still a complete shocker by both the assistant referee and referee himself.

Go look at again...the Crusaders player was ahead of Maku...the direction of the ball was clearly going to be forward even if the Crusaders player hadn't hit it.

MAN OF THE MATCH...... HOUGAARD YOU BEAUTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man of the match is the ref. That was a shocking display of home town refereeing and I am a South African. The last scrum was held up and should have been a scrum to the Crusaders, the last pass was forward before it hit the crusaders hand (and the bulls head). There was numerous other decisions, skew throw in's called against the Crusaders but not against the bulls. Fourie never went behind the last line of feet before stealing the ball to get the bulls first try. I can go on and on but there is no point. I am ashamed to have supported the bulls this game.

If you look from the side, the pass started forward before hitting the crusaders hand.

Wow what a game. I hope I don't have to watch such a tense game again soon.

I give the benefit of the doubt on that one, but the header went forward to Hougaard - hence it was either forward or offsides.

Sorry, I actually meant knocked 'back' to the Bulls side which = knock on by Crusaders. Sorry.:( My bad, too much red wine. :wtf:

Edit: Didn't express what I was thinking properly. GO STORMERS!

Guys guys guys guys guys....

It was called as played backwards by the Crusader player. Live with it. You can't knock a ball on with your head :D
Look at the scoreboard and you will see who won. Now just to tame that pesky Stormers :D

Hehe, it's chilled.

Now where is Lancelot when you need him? :D He's probably going to write an essay about this incident :p

I get mad because I am seeing more and more home town decisions. Not just today but from all of the refs. It's not good for the game. Already each ref has their own "interpretations". Now it is going further then that to the point where it can almost be called cheating. How the Crusaders were even leading at that point in the game is beyond me with all of the bad calls against them.

You must understand that from his Line of sight it was impossible for him to see that the ball came of another bulls player's head after it had hit a Crusader player's arm. The 4th match official can only be called in to confirm happenings behind the goal line. He actually had a discussion with the lines man on the side of the field where it happened and then awarded the try saying he (the line official) confirms it came of a Crusader's hand

Unfortunately in 50/50 calls you either win them or you lose them. But he did the right thing, he spoke to the Line official and then confirmed the try. There was nothing more he could do.
