Hehe, it's chilled.

Now where is Lancelot when you need him? :D He's probably going to write an essay about this incident :p

:)

Yeah, look forward to it. Tomorrow's game is probably going to up his post count by at least 1000.

Ja, that was unlucky for the saders but I won't call it cheating. A ref is only human and can't see everything. Wrong calls goes against every team now and then.

I am just glad the bulls didn't get a bonus point. Go stormers

...unfortunately I did not watch the game as I had something far more exciting to do last night rather than watch a Bulls rugby match - an 85th birthday party! ;)

However, I will state that it is yet another case of the Bulls getting the rub of the green. If the Sharks had not had the exact opposite during the early part of the season the log may well look totally different. It is just funny (or is it merely coincidental) that it always seems to be the same teams that benefit from these incorrect calls.

Are you now blaming the refs for the Sharks poor form early in the season?

I'll tell you one thing. I was sitting in the media box, doing updates for the website, and none of the journalists, writers or other media people could agree on that last try.

Yep, 'cos should not have been awarded.

I agree with you fully. As it should have been a penalty to the Crusaders for accidental offside. That assuming Hougaard was infront when the ball had hit the player's head.

The problem is it was a 50/50 call and it was awarded after the ref confirmed with the line official. No matter what, the writing is on the scoreboard. Not that it would have changed much if the bulls still win the Stormers next week. However if the Bulls lose to the Stormers than that call would have changed the whole outcome of the Super14.

I share your sentiments. I'm expecting a huge backlash from the Kiwi media!!

I just checked the NZherald and found this:
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10643580

Seems like even NZ understands the call could have gone anyway.

However, South African referee Marius Jonker ruled the ball had been knocked back by reserve prop Owen Franks, with the replay supporting that decision, although there could also be an argument that Hougaard received the ball from an offside position after it ricocheted from the head of passer Bandise Maku.

Captain Richie McCaw was clearly distraught at the call, which probably ends his team's chances of reaching the semifinals, arguing the toss with Jonker afterwards for several minutes.

Now another team can feel what it feels like to be so badly cheated of the win ...... Paul Marks just got a friend.

I think you need to read through this 45 page thread and the Shark one again before claiming that I am now saying this. The bad decisions that repeatedly went against the Sharks at the beginning of the season have been discussed at length already.

As controversial as that last try was, there were two other great tries scored in that game.

Fourie sees ball is out and flips it to JLP. JLP to Olivier and he just gets the pass away in time to Hougaard. Absolute brilliant stepping from him without losing any speed to run another 60meters to score in the corner. Mullet man strikes again.

Pure class from Carter as he steps inside out and hands off another tackler. Draws the final defender and passes to Andy Ellis, who scores under the posts.

They re-playing that try on telly now and Naas is saying exactly the same - Crusaders can feel it too. He noted how the same thing was happening to the Sharks early the year.

I get that. And I'm aware fo what you are talking about. However, I am asking you again.... I this the reason the sharks had such a bad start?

What is referred to as a bad start? Is it losing 5 games in a row? If they had won three of those five would it still have been referred to as a bad start?

Pls just answer the question so I can respond....

How about you answer mine!!

You stated they had a bad start. What are you basing that on? Their five losses?!?! If so then it shows how those refereeing decisions CAN be blamed for their bad start! Don't get annoyed because you are not getting the answers you want to allow you to say what you have lined up next!

You are the one blaming their bad start in the Super14 on the refs not me. Annoyed? Far from it, I just want you to come out and admit outrigth that you balme the refs for losing :D Maybe go read back on those games. I recall 1 match they got dealt a bad hand ;) Appart from that they lost the rest themselves. But you need to blame someone right? Maybe blame Ruan Pienaar for that one match that he threw away then :D
