Installed. Loses the mac style interface and is alot simpler now but still very slow and system intensive.

Won't work if you have Launcher Pro, have to launch TW for this to work.

Only new thing i can see is a backup/restore & import feature.

can anyone perhaps email me the default local news app that comes pre-installed with the SA sgs stock eclair 2.1? i forgot to back this up before i moved to darky's 9.1 ;( really a nice app that keeps one informed with all the local news in SA.

any helpful person kind enough to assist me please?

I avoided custom ROMS for a while, but I must say Darky's ROM is a great choice.

If you're not into the custom themes and stuff, flash a JPY firmware and then the Speedmod or Voodoo kernel.

...OR you could use the RomKitchen to generate your own unthemed ROM with only the stock apps you want / need. You can also choose your launcher(s), modem and other tweaks.
 
Hahahah...okay okay. I get the point. Flash the damn phone!! Will look into it this weekend properly.

My telkom line has just lost sync 2 times in a row while trying to download darky's new rom, and I don't have enough international cap to download it again.

@lfc dude, do you have any issues with bad reception? I'm using darkys 9.2 with jpy firmware and its terrible :( maybe its cellc...someone suggested to try another modem ...any advise? What is our stock modem for SA sgs phones?

Still on 9.1 unfortunately, reception is fine, also JPY. I would definitely try another modem, should be a quick flash with CWM, will try and get more info...
 
Thanx ;) it seems the reception is crap at our office space in hatfield...cellc dead spots... Will do some research on the best modem for SA....
 
Dumbass question. But I can't seem to get video calling done on my phone over 3g with the official Skype app.

Any help?
